I hate when this happens

Postby Martrae » Tue Feb 28, 2006 10:36 am

I came to the computer to look up something but now for the life of me I can't remember what it was.

Help!

That takes too long :(

Besides it'd just wear off when I wash dishes anyway.

You should teach them to hate their government and blame their problems on the liberal media so they can be just like dad.

Oh yeah it must since we don't see her post 10 articles all day long on this message board or anything. Surfing the web the entire day sounds like a huge challenge.

Since you don't have all the bs that goes along with public school, waiting in line, waiting for the rest of the kids to finish assignments, waiting for some kids to understand the assignment, it takes a lot less time to homeschool.

It generally takes about 5 hours with individual time spent with each kid. I'm also not bound by traditional school times. I can school at midnight if that fits my family (which it doesn't). My kids also aren't bogged down by meaningless homework since I can see instantly whether they truly understand a subject or not and we can spend as much time as needed for them to get it.

Today we've covered individualized levels of reading, grammar and math as well as history and music as a group. Tomorrow we'll trade out history for science and music for art. I still need to pick up the sign language program I want to use with the kids as well as their handwriting and critical thinking books. The wealth of materials available is amazing.

Somewhere along the line I missed the handwriting lesson, because my handwriting never advanced beyond the 2nd grade level. If you have any tips on how to make my handwriting prettier, I'd appreciate them :)

You could try some kids handwriting books or even take a calligraphy course. :)

I had horrible handwriting, very illegible. My parents made me write a chapter out of Psalms every night. It was a pain in the butt, but I have nice very legible handwriting now.

I've always thought that having illegible penmanship was a prerequisite to entering the medical field, or at least to dispense prescriptions. :dunno:

It's nice to see you can't refute anything I said but instead resorted to childish insults.

    Tikker, believe what you like.
