Casket Purchasing Site

Postby Adivina » Thu May 04, 2006 6:33 pm

I was just reading a rather interesting economics book (completely irrelevant to the conversation, but its called Freakonomics) and mention was made of a casket website that sold things such as "The Hole in One", which is a casket decorated with golf scenes.

Anyway, http://www.tributedirect.com is the website, I just loaded it up, lets see what interesting shit is to be found on there.

Some of them on here are actually nicely done, I just can't picture burying someone in a golf casket >< The military ones are really nice looking.

I would be so pissed if anyone wasted that much money to bury my dead ass. Would want to scream "HELLO!!! I'M DEAD I DONT CARE HOW NICE IT LOOKS".

When I die I want to be interred in a wall crypt, not the ground.

I want my head and hand to be mounted on a plaque with a corney winking/smiling and pointing expression. And I want it desplayed in a public place... Like, above a booth in a restaurant.

funny funny, guys. hehe seriously though, i just thought it'd be a cool idea, know what i mean? i've had some pretty interesting answers from people i've proposed this to and asked where they'd take me, ranging from an old apartment of mine, to my grade school playground, to the front counter of dairy queen.

I want to be mixed into a bag of pot and smoked.

By the way, people who want to be cremated, you know that they get like a Glad bag full of ashes, right?

I want to be mounted and stuffed, and put onto display in someone's den in a threatening bear-like pose.

Best idea evar
The object of life is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to come screaching in to the grave sidelong in a beatup wreck of a body, loudly proclaiming "WOW What a ride!"

Yeah, LifeGem is what I was talking about. I saw it when I was watching that reality show about the funeral family. It was cool and I decided I wanted that for me.
