Ok so here I go..I have an IPAQ that took some water damage. I call up HP and send it in for repairs. I figure no problem since I have extended warranty and accidental damage coverage.
I walk in this morning to have India Ingrid on my phone saying HP needs 390.00 plus shipping coverage to fix. WTF???
So I pick up the phone and call:
Conestant number one is Phu from Taiwan
his interests including shopping, plat farming in WoW, Crotche and NeedleWork. His favorite Movie is Beach Blanket Bingo and Music interests include Nine Inch Nails and Iron Butterfly
Phu we find out has problems with the phrases "Under warranty" and "Accidental damage". After 10 minutes with Phu I ask him to transfer me to someone with a better grasp on english.
Contestant Number Two is Karishma from India.
Karishma Loves long walks on the beach, dancing and sword swallowing. Her favorite movie is Star Wars III and her favorite music is anything from Perry Como.
Karishma's name in Hindi means 'blessed miracle' and that is exactly what you need to understand her. She promptly asks for the same serial number and call tag I gave Contestant one. 8 times!!!! I finally after her screwing up the letter 'W' the 8th time ask her to transfer me yet again.
Contestant Number Three is Weizhe from China.
Weizhe enjoys French cooking, Dog grooming and marathon games of Axis and Allies. His movie interests are classic movies such as Rambo and Faces of Death. His music interests include Conway Twitty and Hank Williams Jr.
Weizhe makes it thru the first hurdle(the Serial number and call tag lookup) is rounding the corner to the part where we have to talk about warranty, and OH NO he has lost it in the back stretch. language barrier again.
Contestant Number Four is Frank from Texas
Frank loves comparitive dance and syncronized swimming. His favorite movie is Two Mules for Sister Sara. Music includes anything by Megadeath and Harry Connick Jr.
Frank makes it thru the first part of the test by getting the information the first time. He rounds the corner into the back stretch and manages to understand the Breakage clause in my extended warranty. He then proceeds to tell me it does not exsist. apparently HP's internal website is a bit buggered this morning and is only showing my standard warranty clause. I finally have to place the man on hold while I fax (you heard it fax) him a copy of his own webpage where is plainly shows the warranty info.
After 1.5 hours of dealing with people the IPAQ is being sent back to me reapired free of charge.
