uh, again.. it's not a career choice? it's something we started doing together since it's local here and participate for fun, he being much more efficient at it than I am and more often than not turning a profit. Again, *he cannot legally work at the moment.* This is something we knew from the getgo, and something we both planned for as a means to be together. We knew it would be ages before he could legally work. Would you like me to delve into details about the funds he's living off of from his trust fund or could your, however helpful, uneducated opinion cease in knowing that I'm perfectly capable of knowing the man I'm with much better than you do.
Again, thank you for your contribution Tikker, Taxx - I think you both great guys and great sources of information on a lot of topics, but in this subject you're both lacking in knowledge - poker is something we do for fun, plain and simple - it's not his source of primary income and it's by *my* decision that we play so often, because it's what I enjoy doing on the weekends. I work full time and I deserve to do what I wish on the weekends. it's not a career choice, if you've referenced the other thread you'll know that his degree is in sound engineering, in which he obviously cannot pursue a 40 hour week doing at the moment. He worked until the day before he got on the plane here, and secured funds otherwise so that while on his B-2 we would be financially secure. We just happen to be lucky and he's been able to turn profit playing poker as well, giving us a bit extra.
All that is a non issue however - this poll isn't based on a 'need' for a second job. If I do the second job it's soley to help my old boss out.
