Postby leah » Wed Sep 19, 2007 7:44 am

there's no cake that falls in that category that isn't going to be healthy. that said, it's his birthday - who cares if you blow your diet? let him feel special for a day, blow caution to the wind for a day - it's once a year, not really a huge deal.

see i get the whole "it's only one day" thing . . . but you can't eat a cake in one day, so there's going to be leftovers just sitting around and my weakness for cake is stronger than my resolve. :P

i was thinking angel food cake, adam, but i'm not sure if josh would hate me for it hehe . . . it's kind of a wussy cake for a birthday

It is a wussy cake and not much of a birthday cake at all. birthdays aren't the day to be healthy - for your birthday he can make you a weight conscious cake.. but this is his birthday, let the man have what he wants =p

Make better than sex cupcakes.

can you do that? it doesn't seem to me like the nature and composition of better than sex cake would translate well into cupcakes. too much ooey-gooeyness.

Can you make him the cake he wants and send your leftovers away other than saving a piece or two for him?

If you could make it work, it'd be a way to cut down on the leftovers since you could limit it to just 1 or so for everyone.

this is probably what i'll end up doing i suppose--eat a piece tonight and then send some of the leftovers home with him and then take some to work to force on my unsuspecting co-workers hehe . . . the boy must have his cake, i guess.

now if i could just find the right recipe. . . .

Make him the cake he wants for his birthday. Forget about your diet... it's not about you. :)

Diet coke? wtf? Make him "Death by Chocolate." It's much better than "better than sex" cake. Here's the recipe. Just leave out the coffee part.

well that's just not the same!!!

well fine, i'll just make the normal cake (although sneaking in the fat-free carmel sauce and condensed milk is a great idea)
