cravings~

Postby Tikker » Fri Nov 16, 2007 12:03 am

I have no idea what's changed in the last while, but I've just absolutely been craving Buffalo Wings for the last 4 or 5 months

it's wild how home made just aren't quite as good as the kind you get in the pub, and it's impossible to get good wings delivered~

so yeah, who wants to go out for wings?!!?!?

I feel your pain Tikker. Do you have a Buffalo Wild Wings near you? I love the sweet bbq sauce.

only use the pieces, not the whole wings, keep em naked, deep fry them and toss them in 4:1 open pit bbq:franks red hot mixture if you're looking for a saucy taste with the bbq - if not the bbq flavor, franks red makes the *best* plain old hot sauce for wings. I haven't had the buffalo type they make now because their regular does just fine

NBA city in orlando has the best wings there are, but aside from those I like mine at home over anyone elses. though I haven't made them in ages since I don't have a deep fryer anymore.

I go through wing cravings as well, I could live off them :p

I tried Wings n Things last week and wasn't super impressed. Someone needs to open a good sports bar/wing place in San Diego. And no, Hooters doesn't count.

i wasn't overly impressed with their wings either tbh. very greasy, and being that i'm not interested in the chicks, i don't get the draw of it.

I went through a wing phase, we have a dive here that had .10 wings on thursday nights for a while..I'd eat them until I was stuffed. My favorite wings though, are in my hometown at a place called "Leo's" and it is the worst restaurant/bar unless you're a redneck. If you ignore that, the wings are good.

here in town, Wild Wing is the best, hands down. (diekan knows..) and my favorite besides the buffalo wings are the "Ol Smokey". mm.

these days, I crave bbq sandwiches and cole slaw though. don't know why..

probably because bbq sandwiches are delicious

cole slaw on the other hand reminds me of rabbit vomit and i've never been able to appreciate it.

Sometimes I pile the cole slaw on my bbq sandwich and it takes everything to a new level.

To go even further..restaurants down here are throwing fried green tomatoes on BLT's lately, which is ingenious, and one of my favorite restaurants has a hand-pulled molasses bbq sandwich and...they put a fried green tomato on it. I thought I was in heaven.

They should peel the fat off from around the meat first. Biting through an 1/8th-inch layer of fat before you get to the meat is disgusting.

Ya Araby that Leo's place sounds like the place with my favorite wings. Just a little hole in the wall bar outside of a coal mine. They dont even make any other food other than wings. Fucking awesome 25 cent hot wings and 1 buck beers. Can it get any better? The place is called the Coal Miner Diner, even though they only sell booze and hot wings. Oh, and they have a kick ass mechanical bull and a few sets of boxing gloves behind the bar. Pretty interesting place. The only rule is that if you get called out to box/fight, you cant decline or you cant come back, and once you set foot in the bar, you can call anyone out or be called out haha

Believe it or not I actually like Hooters' wings. I prefer them to BWW any day. Maybe the Hooter's near me is just better than the norm?
