The article is silly, but it does hit a few valid points. Situations and locations dictate friends more than anything. A 22 year old single girl might have dozens of girlfriends, but a 35 year old might have few just due to raising kids, work, etc. That said, everyone knows girls who preferred to hang around guys, loners, goth chicks, etc
The author seems to be a young, inner city comedian who probably sees life through the prism of sitcoms and girls night out.
All the answers to the reasoning's behind why girls act the way they do can be viewed by watching the movie Mean Girls.
