Hehe, it's the sequel movie of Final Fantasy VII.

And thank you, I like yours, too. Sesshomarou is totally hot. I might actually buy a shirt of him later on today. I got Inuyasha two weeks ago for Star Wars and Yuki from Fruits Basket, last week...

Faye is the awesome, though, yes. ^_^

I personally enjoy the action in anime, the fast paced stuff is fun to watch. I also enjoy the japanese lore that is involved in most of it. However, the futuristic robot wars and junk don't appeal to me in the least, I'm more into the samurai and ninja stuffs.

Oh, the FF7 sequel! Yes, I'd like very much to see it, but I haven't heard much about it and haven't been following it. When is it coming out?

And yes, stoic expressionless characters with super powers are teh greatness. Legato Bluesummers from Trigun has a special place in my heart too. :P

-

As for liking anime, I dunno exactly why I like it, it just seems to be my most preferred form of entertaininment, over movies / TV.

The animation style is really different from American cartoons, which makes the look pretty cool. The stories (in the good ones) are interesting, and usually couldn't be done as well with live actors. The characters (in the good ones) usually have considerable depth to them.

I guess in a word, they make their own little worlds that are highly detailed. Its the same reason I like RPG games.

Yes, Advent Children is my current obsession and if you really are interested in learning about it or watching a trailer, this is the most recent one: http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/finalfa ... 051605.asx

And it comes out September 13th (just got a release date last month after two years).. for the PSP first then the DVD, although there are rumors that it might go to the theaters.

And I link that one because it has subtitles, but considering it is the most recent one.. if you wanted to be a true fan (obsessed, here, aforementioned =p), I would go to the official Japanese site and watch the first four, in order and then go to that one. =p

http://www.square-enix.co.jp/dvd/ff7ac/

Which would be there.

And! If you are a fan of Final Fantasy VII, like I am... you might be interested in seeing the PS3 Technical Demo which made me cry. =\

http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/finalfa ... index.html

Yes, Fantasy RPGs are the best things ever.. I have played ... many... to be quiet about it.

And, as for my love of anime... hm... Yes, the super powers and beautiful, bright and intelligent people have a lot to do with it. I love the love stories, the fantasy ones, Japan in general and the culture and most animes have a lot to do with the respect and tradition of Japan, so it intrigues me. But the storylines are excellent.. or at least most of them.. or the ones I have watched most of.. Like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Wolf's Rain, Fruits Basket, DN Angel, Serial Experiments Lain and the like.. although Inuyasha is by far my favorite just because it is what it is.

Plus.. they are beautiful. :eyecrazy: I love Japanese animation... I adore it. I love the way they look.. The bright, crazy hair, the evil and sinister eyes.. or the bright and stunning ones.. Hehe.

And... no.. mecha... and futuristic giant robots.. do not interest me, either. They aren't fun to look at. lol.

Legato is awesome, but I am pretty loyal to Vash and Wolfwood. Hehe.

And I did get my shirt! I got Faye from Cowboy Bebop and next will be either Full Metal Alchemist or... another Cowboy Bebop one.

And... just to have this post be all out of order, I, too, prefer to watch anime over regular television - I am just addicted.

And to think.. it all started with Speed Racer. Lmao. And then Sailor Moon.

Yes I've been looking forward to this for quite a while. I'm hoping that they don't release it in theatres, so that I might actually enjoy it.

I've been waiting a long time for it's realease, not to mention all the the false release dates so far.... ><. Although the gaming series is starting to go down the shitter (IE X - Tidus was a whiney bitch that pissed me off, and X-2 is Charlies Angles RPG) They need to forget about graphics and actually get a really good and origional storyline. Well enough about that. Lets just pray it's not another Spirits Within movie :cussing:

Yes, I agree about Final Fantasy X.. I didn't hate it.. but it definitely wasn't very good. Heh. I only liked X once I got through X-2 twice and the whole story came to a happy close, plus X-2 had an awesome job/dress sphere system.

Final Fantasy XII... looks... I don't know. Not bad, but I haven't seen much of it. It looks more serious than X and X-2 were, though and that's definitely good. I mean, graphics are nice, but they are so not everything. We know there are good graphics now... now bring the storylines.

Although! Non Final Fantasy.... Shadow Hearts II and Shadow Hearts I are amazingly good games, and I really like Xenosaga and Xenosaga II, as welll. but there is just so much to them, they are insane.

I can just imagine having the Advent Children UMD for the PSP.. and just being in the car and watching it.. over and over and over again...

I definitely do not think it will be anything like Spirits Within. I think it'll be really good and that's not just because I am a huge Final Fantasy fan... because I hated Spirits Within.. or was disappointed by it... The storyline of AC actually appears to be interesting! :boots:

anime appeals to me very slimly... Akira is my fav anime for many many obvious reasons and benchmarks that it set in the genre. i tend to find myself only liking animes where the people look like people and they don't have bright pink hair and big bubbly eyes.

so basically i don't like very much anime

.... No. =\ lol.

As for Akira... It doesn't do anything for me at all, but I do own and watch it on occasion, just to go.. um.. wtf...

I really recommend Serial Experiments: Lain as something that might appeal to a multitude of people. Boogiepop Phanton is also very good, although extremely strange.

Hehe, I do like anime where people look normal, too, just not too poorly animated. I personally hate the animation in Akira and it has nothing to do with their hair color or their eye shapes.. it's just the way they are in general. According to Anime terms, they all had demon eyes, which makes no sense, since none of them were demoons. =\

Once again, I shall suggest Serial Experiments: Lain. They look normal, yet animeish, and it's an excellent storyline.

If you wanna check out good samurai action
Samuari Champloo is outstanding.

 All hail Shinichi Watanabe.

Peacekeepers is anther outstanding title.

After that eh. Advent should be good as they should also be releasing the next FF7 spin off game Cerebrus to co-incide with the movie.

So hopefully Squaresoft can get there heads out of there asses for a change.

Peace

the only anime i liked was the cowboy bebop movie and jin-roh (though i don't really consider jin-roh to be much of an "anime" as the word usually means)

I mean shit! that guy actually looks ethnically japanese and he doesn't have purple spiked hair!

Samuari Champloo is definitely awesome. I watch that weekly on Adult Swim. Hehe.

And, yes, the beautiful Final Fantasy VII compilation! Not only are they coming out with Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, they are coming out with Before Crisis, which is presently released in Japan for cellphones and will, eventually come here and then there is the.. mysterious Dawn of Crisis, which no one knows what the hell it's about.

No, she's not having seizures. Lol. It's from the opening to Cowboy Bebop.

And I also like Ghost in the Shell, plus it has an awesome soundtrack.

TETSUO!!!! KENADA!!!!

Sometimes I pop in Fist of the North Star just for the trite dialog. The heads exploding upon contact was a thoughtful touch.

About FF7:AC - - It's caught my fancy mostly for the animation. I would be more enthusiastic if they made a movie around RedXIII or Cait Sith.

I agree... a movie about Red XIII would be awesome... or about his parents and their war. O.o Although, since Cait Sith is just a whining Shinra member.. not to sure about him, although he does appear in both Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus.

For the most awesome of awesomest soundtracks in anime, check of Vision of Escaflowne's CD. Some of it is as good as classical music in my eyes.

Hehe, I have it. I have most anime soundtracks of the animes I like... well... most of the songs because some I do not like. DN Angel is good, but some of the songs are a bit too cheerful.

I love Final Fantasy soundtracks, though, especially VI, VII and VIII. <3 Nobuo Uematsu is my God..

Well.. and John Williams.
