Traveling this summer?

Postby Narrock » Sat Jun 25, 2005 10:25 am

I checked out 5 of the most popular and biggest internet travel-booking companies out there on ripoffreport.com, and as of this morning these are the negative feedback results customers gave:

Expedia - 24

Hotwire - 18

Orbitz - 23

Priceline - 104 :teehee:

Travelocity - 38

Just for the record... I've always used Hotwire.com and never had a problem or complaint. My parents have been using Orbitz for the past few years and they've never had a complaint or hassle with Orbitz either.

Oh, also... one of the agents at Hotwire told me a couple months ago that if you find a vacation package cheaper on any of the other online travel companies, that Hotwire will beat their total package price.

When Kahar used to travel a lot I always booked his trip thru Travelocity and never had a problem. That was several years ago tho....you know, when Gateway was still a decent company.

You should take these reports on these feedback websites with a grain of salt because for all you know these complaints could be competitors tanking the rivals' rankings.

Travelocity has a pretty good reputation. 38 bad reports from how many thousands of trips booked every year? That's pretty good stats.

Useless because if I want to get from point A to point B, I'll just drive it and enjoy my vacation even more.

Its the travel that makes it a vacation, not the destination.

As I sit here at my friend's house in Madison, WI second story with no A/C and huge humidity... she's lucky that I love her.

And Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin was pretty cool too.

Huge humidity? Just wait a couple more days!

Although I wouldn't recommend it on Sundays, if you're here on Monday, cruise up to the Wisconsin Dells and chill out in one of the water parks. Only takes an hour to get there and you can't get lost. It's a major tourist trap but almost every business is locally owned. Take lots of cash. And sun screen.
