Resort suggestions for Cancun?

Postby Sokritize » Fri Jul 29, 2005 1:57 am

I'm leaving Iraq for Houston shortly and I want to stay at an all-inclusive hotel in Cancun. I've checked out expedia, and found a couple hotels I like (Dreams, and Moon palace). The reviews have been good, but all seem to give negative feedback on the beds, or rooms.

Anyone have suggestions? I will be with my wife, so the "party atmosphere" doesn't matter to me.

I'm going to be staying at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya in October. It looks really nice.

It's an all inclusive resort near Cancun.

I just went there in April and stayed at Aventura Spa Palace - it is about 30 minutes drive south of Cancun. It is all inclusive and a great place to stay. My parents have gone to the Moon palace a few times and it is also very nice. Both of these resorts have almost everything that you can think of for things to do (Rock Climbing, swimming, fishing, spas, beach, site seeing packages, etc.) and they have plenty of booze and parties going on.

Thanks for the information. I'm expecting the prices to drop within the next few weeks as summer ends. How was the beach at Dreams?

Their beaches was great. They have the ocean side, bay side and man-made lagoon. We spent most of our time in the bay side. Its waist deep to about 200 yards out. We checked out floats, got giant drinks, and would float around for hours, only coming in to get more drinks.

We were there for 5 days, and only left the resort grounds once.
