Noone wants to play with them.

Because I still get pvp EVERY night without having to worried about being ganked while xp'ing. Best of both worlds.

This won't hurt EQ2, but damn if it won't be the death knoll of Dark Age of Camelot.

Thats really cool.

i guess i can understand not wanting to get ganked, seeing as how the penalty for dieing is so severe.

so have fun with the battlegrounds

hmm

UT2K4 hurt EQ man... of course this will hurt EQ2. Nobody outside of Sony will likely notice any difference, but... you have to admit that this is pretty fucking huge.

Who said the penalty was severe? It's the "I don't feel like being pvp right now" aspect that I like about our server. As for my pvp skills...anytime you're feelin froggy buddy, hop on over.

EQ2 is promoted as a PVE game. Why would any sort of PVP implementation hurt that game? Anyways, I think it's big, but I personally do not think it'll hurt EQ2 at all.

This is moreso geared towards the DAOC crowd, as this is copying a lot from their RVR paradigm. Did you play DAOC, Vonk?

My point is...

there are already a lot of people flopping back and forth between the two games. They are clearly in high competition with each other. You can't deny that this is the first 'real' threat that EQ has seen since UO died. Any new feature, especially as big as this, will bring a certain amount of people to one side or the other.

There are alot of EQ2 people who want PVP. Sony says no, they will move. Those that don't care about PVP (and there are alot) will stay with what they like more.

It will take some people from EQ2 guaranteed, however this will not be an EQ2 killer by any stretch.

Maybe it'll take all the Azns. I can pray for that.

Thon i have played on pvp and a pve server, both have their pros and cons.... i liked pvp considering you could fight someone running threw your lands.... but it sucked when they would just camp your corpse when you were trying to quest, pve is nice to be able to fight when you want to but miss some of the just balls to the wall brawls
