BG Expansion...
I am wondering when this thing is supposed to come out, the only interest i have in WoW is in the PVP and the fact i can run it on both my comps NP. Might get the g/f and myself onto the game if things are lookin good with this expansion. Are people liking the game so far? I understand it is light on the grind and lacking a lot of high end content, mostly just kill the boss mobs in instances and gear up. The crafted gear any good? Are the two factions pretty well balanced? I have so many questions about it, just because i am interested in either playing it or Dark and Light(due out sometime this year)

It's not lacking in high end content. There are plenty of high end encounters/instance/raids that are only being beaten by a small handful of guilds in the game.
Crafted gear - 99% of it sucks beyond level 30. It's somewhat useful to gear up an alt with - but once they get to the point that they're able to get decent drops and quest rewards, it's nearly useless except for a very small number of "keystone" things... the truesilver gloves, the blue dragonscale breastplate, etc.
The two factions WOULD be pretty balanced if the Alliance didn't outnumber the horde 1.7:1 on average. So, when you're in a PVP situation, there is *typically* a disadvantage for the Horde in sheer numbers.

if you are buff dependant take up alchemy
for our server which is pve we have np finding pvp opportunities
with horde's FoH, and Forgotten aspects they keep us busy when we want to pvp.
we have our usual pvp area's, plus sometimes undercity is raided, sometimes darnassus is, some guilds hold competitions in arena's and post it on page.
But high end stuff there is plenty, and with the raid caps, should make it more challenging for alot of guilds. But really you wont know if its for you until you play it, there are people who enjoy it, some who need more and some who just dont like it.

What i am gettin at with the buffbot thing is in regards to player verse player only, in this new BG expansion that is due out. I am not concerned with PVE buffs or any cheesie PVP servers. The only PVP i am talkin about is with this BG expansion stuff(call it faction vs faction or realm vs realm whatever.)
I want to know if buffs are considerable and if you can set things up like people do in DAoC. Have a buffbot, a toon that sits around at the entry area to New Frontiers RealmvsRealm, cast buffs on another character, that is not in any sort of range or even grouped, so that character can go out and wtf pwn people having an advantage due to having buffs that their character can not self cast.
I find myself not being able to stomach DAoC because of the way Mythic sets things up, they have no concern for making the game fun and are only worried about makin the $$$. Hence 1/3 of the lvl 50 buff classes are just buffbots who sit there all day. IMO buffs should be ranged if they can be cast on other peeps, possibly only members of the group, or each class should get its own self buffs that can not be cast on others.
If WoW has the potential to turn into a better have a buffbot if you want to PVP type of game, like DAoC, then i wont even bother playing. If the buffbot potential is there and once the BG expansion comes out you will see, and i guarantee it, most of the people in the game using a second account so they can have the edge against their enemy.

Ahhhh, so the BGs are instanced, hmm kk. What about outside of the BGs then, can a class with some real nice strength and constitution etc buffs be used as a bot for some other character who is out of range and not in group? Are buffs even that considerable as they are in DAoC(the buffs in DAoC make a HUGE difference)
I am also reading up and seeing that there are PVE and PVP servers, on PVP server is it only hoard vs alliance or does hoard kill hoard too and vice/versa? PVE servers have some limited pvp, ok cool wont be ganked all the fing time. BG Expansion is for all servers? This game sounds more interesting all the time. IF there is no chance for buffboting, WoW will be far better than DAoC once the reward for PVP is implemented.

Make an undead rogue.... With both of us we can work a little ability and keep any mob stunned 8 of 10 seconds constantly whilst we stab the dogshit out of it.... we'll own shit.

Buffs really aren't as important as in other games. They help some, but not immense amounts. I mean, the best HP buff in the game is only going to add 420 hp, when Warriors have, say, 5k+ unbuffed, if not more. Any buff that has a really impressive impact is either self-only or of VERY limited duration. Example: There's a paladin buff that gives you +10% to every single stat. However, it lasts for 5 minutes. So, even if someone were to hand buffs out as people zoned in, it'd be gone before you got real far. Even the less important buffs, the STA or SPI buffs from priests, INT from mages, or Mark of the Wild from Druids only lasts 30 minutes. I can only assume that real Battleground battles are going to take 2-3 hours at least, so those buffs aren't going to help by the mid to end game of the fight.
Battlegrounds will be for all servers, yes. You don't have to play on a PVP server and deal with gankfestage to use the BGs.

Some of the Priest & Druid group versions of the spell are 60 minute buffs I think.
