“I am thinking, well, America has finally got to us,” said one old woman, as she sat on the ground outside her house.

Give me a break Tossica "Could the US possibly sink lower", link an article about protests or something. I mean if you really believe that a statement like this is credible proof that the world view of the US is in the toilet, your really looking hard and skimming the bottom of the barel. Oh here's a thought for you, maybe her conspiracy theory has little to do with current events and is more of a throw back to the cold war. I can't even believe the comment she made was news worthy, but it just goes to show you that our media is looking for and reaching for things to say bad about our country.

Start regulating our news sources so that they stop feeding the rest of the world leftist propaganda about what the "right" is doing to screw everything up. Then you will start seeing improved foreign relations and better attitudes abroad about America.

McDonalds, Levis, American cars, movies, music... you name it. In the THREE YEARS I lived in Europe I never had a problem with any of the *natives.* Never really heard anything bad about the US either. Well, France was a different. Although, they [the French] never came out and said anything to our faces, you could feel an undertow of dislike... but Italy, Germany, Austria? Naw, they rocked and didn't seem to hold any real dislike for America at all. Well - of course the old Germans didn't quite like us much. Not because we were Americans, but because we were American GI's. I'm talking about the WWII era old folks - so you can understand why.
