Roofing = workout & weightloss

Post by 10sun »

So my friend and I reroofed my house last weekend and earlier this week.

I started at 195 lbs and I am now 187 lbs.
He started at 215 and is now at 204 lbs.

This is with proper hydration (12oz of gatorade every 30 minutes) working for 6 hours a day.

Roofing is definitely rough work, some of the roughest really especially when its hot.

I did panelized roofing for about 6 weeks straight 2 summers ago on some concrete tilt-ups. I think I lost 3 lbs a day in water weight. That sun radiates back up at you from the roof sheathing and adds about 15 degrees to the temperature around you... or so it seemed.
