Tyr's Hand is overloaded with farmers. There's usually too much competition and you have to dodge two different quest mob groups that come in erratically.
Hearthglen is good farming although it is slightly less cash than a good Tyr's Hand session. Elites drop from 5 (rarely) to 25 silver + Runecloth. Average is around 10-15s (it gets streaky). It's fairly easy to pickup half a bag of Runecloth stacks that sell for good cash in the AH. White drops are fairly regular and average about 90s to 1.4g each. Greens drop pretty often with a typical two hour session netting me 2-4 level 51 greens that usually are worth 3-10g (if I can get it.)
There are 8 spots that Thorium veins can pop with half of them frequenly popping Rich thorium veins. One is in the mines and is always Rich although there are alot of regular level mobs to clear down there and soloing it may be difficult.
There are 2 Rare mobs that are easily soloable. One is the Judge and the other is the Scarelet Smith. The Smith always drops a BoP blacksmith pattern worth 1.5 g (vendor) and a green item. He is a fairly regular spawn. (The other pattern is in the main smithy area and drops off the rare mob there but he is not soloable due to the number of adds.)
There are several chest locations in Hearthglen but I've noticed that they have not been spawning lately. However, there are 4 that seem to be fairly regular. One at the breastworks at the base of the road, one at the next set (rarer), one in the main Tower inside Hearthglen and a possible one in the Spellbinder Tower before you get to Hearthglen proper.
The tower is a fairly easy solo. No elites. The only time that the Elite guy will be up is when someone is running the escort quest. The escort quest also spawns a group of extremely nasty Scarlet Elites that are in no way soloable by anyone. I killed one of them.. once.. when he was alone and his group was broken.
Lorik is a pansy if you have him solo. He's a typical gung ho paladin. Interrupt his casts or, better yet, drain his mana and he's a wuss. However, he has a knockback and can get realy crazy with bashes and interupts of his own. If he manages to channel thru a heal, it could be trouble.
The most important thing about Hearthglen is that there are lots of mobs to choose from and it's easy to farm. There's also plenty of regular level mobs to burn thru if you've exhausted the elites in your area. Respawn times are quick and give you just enough time to med up for the next round if you run it right. If I spent more time there instead of PvP'ing, I'd have a heck of alot of cash.
There is something to be said to burning thru regular, non-elite mobs. However, that gets kind of boring for me sometimes. Hearthglen takes a little more effort and, for me, that makes farming more enjoyable.

P.S. This only counts for every other server besides Durotan. Hearthglen farming on Durotan sucks. All the mobs in Hearthglen on Durotan only drop grey rock chips and they always train the entire zone, laying waste to everyone in their path and permanently causing brain damage and sexual disfunction. /cough cough
