I made this build for my guild on Arthas server~ most of the builds are rather generic that you should tweak around a bit. I am going with the build at the bottom tho...

Hello my fellow noob hunters! Confused about patch 1.7 builds? I know it's scary but yes, we can no longer follow the same cookie cutter build from the before time. No need to worry tho, i am here to help you with the decision that will effect the rest of your time in WoW. ( perhaps even your real life??.)

Let's take a look at our first build. BM-MM

this is a 31bm/20 mm build, with this build you get your much needed hawk eye for MC and aim'd shot etc etc. You're not losing to much in the range department because most of the other talents in MM suck ass. Of course you are losing scatter shot, which you could for go the 31 BM talent for but what is the point of going BM without it?, Imo SS is one of the most usefull skills in the game via hunters. With this build you are surely to own up 1v1 if you don't feel like having the skill to go otherwise.
Alas with this build you are missing quite a bit of very usefull talents in survival.

Our next build... Similar to the BM-MM one, but BM-surv

The BM build remains the same but instead of getting Ranged talents you are stuck with more of a passive set-up of talents. Surv is nothing without MM. You ARE going to get Survivalist and such to increase your hp. Along with the slayer talent but over all i don't see BM-Surv being a very good build for PvP or PvE due to the fact you are missing Aim'd shot, hawk eye, and imp consussive shot. The only thing you have to rely on is your basic skills and your pet. Which can be crowd controll'd.

The next build we can look at is a weird set-up. It's more 1v1 pvp than anything.

here we have a build mixed of all 3. 23BM,21 MM, and 7 surv.

Being the unstoppable force that we hunters are in PvP this build is very good because it beholds the power of 2 stuns. In BM you have up to intimadation, which is a 3 second stun which cannot be broken even by damage. Which is very nice time to pop Rapid Fire and wtfpwn the person. You also get most of the pet dps buffs. In MM you have all your good talents like Aim'd Shot and Scatter shot. Like i said before, Scatter shot is one of the most usefull talents for a Hunter. In Surv you get your humaniod slaying along with some parry. If you are in 1v1 PvP you are going to end up melee'ing some of the time so Savage strikes is a good choice.

And now we come to the best build that Hunters can go for in 1.7. I have tested all the builds on the test server and this one is quite possibly the best for MC/Battlegrounds and 1v1 PvP. Regardless of the fact i am allready well suited to using this build for 1v1 pvp because its basicly the same thing i use in 1.6. This will only enchance the dmg i do for even more pwning.

Like i said numerous times before SCATTER SHOT SCATTER SHOT SCATTER SHOT. And along with SS you also get the best talents in MM that you can ever want. On the to surv build tho. Like many hunters before me they make the mistake of thinking putting points into traps is a good idea. NONONONONONO. Traps DO NOT help you on MC and they are very good the way they are. You are wasting points in damage you could possibly be spending in areas that increase your ranged dps for duels AND also for MC/Battlegrounds. If you are that bad at your hunter to HAVE to rely on traps to win in duels/PvP i think you should reroll. To start off with the build we have 3 Human slaying, This helps in PvP and in MC because of mobs like Sulf and Shazz and Majordomo, etc etc. 4 in deflection because allthough it is a good skill there is better ones you could be getting in the tree. Of course 5 in imp wing clip because it is very usefull in PvP. 5 Survibility because not is it only good for PvP but it helps you sux less and die less in MC. Onward to delfection, and Counterattack, Quite possibly the best combo for melee hunters can get. Counter attack not only freezes them in place allowing you to get away but it also deals good damage. Delfection helps you proc CA a shit load and helps you avoid alot of those nasty hits from a rogue or even a warrior. You could even Melee a crappy rogue like Mikerowave with it. Surefooted... not only is the 3% hit awsome but you have a crazy 15% chance to resist snares. I don't know about you but that is very good for PvP and the hit is awsome for both PvP and MC. Coming down the tree even more we have Killer Instinct. I really have nothing to say about this talent because who wouldn't want a 3% chance more to crit. And for the last 5 talent points we have Lightning Reflexes. 15% crit would put most of us hunters past 400 agi unbuffed and even higher, and that is only with blue gear and such. This not only gives us a higher chance to crit again but it gives us ALOT of RAP because of the agi.

Like i said before, i am quite fine with the 1v1 duels and PvP atm, so wasting points in BM for something so usefull when i could get awsome talents in surv. It just seems so worthless. This build is going to maximize the dps you can do in MC because of the points in ranged and the talents you get to increase them even more in surv. I am looking at something around 26% ranged crit and 1155 RAP with just Aspect of Hawk. And although mortal shots was nerfed the over all RAP increase and even more criting won't effect that to much.

And before you say that there is a better build... there isn't ;p
I've tested every single build on the test server and this is the most balanced PvP / raiding wise. And like i said before, Traps are worthless they are fine the way they are. Don't waste points on them when you can have stuff like + agi and crit.

And yea going all the way down to Trueshot aura is worthless if you have 1337 epics and such...

there's a reason why traps are restricted in use, find out the proper times and placement to use them and they can turn the tide of any pvp fight

personally i am fine with traps the way they are now, i do agree they can help but i also can pop detterence and counterattack. I go along with the notion that more dps will effect the out come better than if you can just keep them rooted in place.

I just wonna know how you can get away with not maxing efficiency, ranged weapon spec. and barrage?

Yes excatly. Also when you start to get gear'd up in MC and BWL and such you are going to get a real boost in your AGI. You use that boost in your agi to get even more agi with Lightning Reflexes ;p I have like +5 hit as it is... with that +5 hit i basicly never miss on lvl 60 mobs... but in MC mobs are around lvl 63 so with the surefooted i won't miss on them either. And Killer Instinct is a nice 3% crit. So over all it will put me around 26% ranged crit and somewhere around 1200 RAP unbuffed.

Also Having Rhok'Delar doesn't hurt :P

I'm Going to say that if you ARN'T in a MC raiding guild tho. You will get more use out of a MM build with Trueshot aura. Also i am on a PvP server if that helps at all.

Your right im not, but I dont see the huge deal with lighting reflex when you have high end gear, wouldnt it be a little uncesisary when you have like 315+ agi already?

on test i have 509 agi with lightening reflexes, 1313 atk power

i don't see why it would be unnecessary if TS aura wouldn't be
