So, I keep sinking money into my neon. I am getting tired of it. I have been shoppping for a new(er) car. I have found someone who will work with my credit situation and still give me a decent rate on a 2003. Problem is, they want something in writing from Ford that states that an account that my ex husband included in his bankruptcy has been closed. I called Ford, and it hasn't, there is still a balance of $9,894.70 on it. She refused to send me any kind of letter, but wanted my updated address so they can start collecting the money from me.
I need this letter to get this car, and get out of the money pit I am in. I also got apporved at a Buy HEre Pay Here place, but they want $4,000 for a 93 Sunfire. I'd rather go with Mitsubishi.
Do those bank underwriters call those places to verify? Should I forge a letter from Ford?
