Please recommend me an affordable

wireless network system that is not total crap. I used to have some el cheapo router and wireless card but they took a dump on me and the company has no support what so ever.

All it has to do is reliably connect a computer 30 feet away for gaming. This computer can be hooked up via wire.

I've been through a fuckton of wireless gear over the years, most of it breaking or me engaging the wrath of my "troubleshooting tool" which closely resembles a ball peen hammer.

The best wireless network I have had to date is my current one... Plain old Netgear 54MBs 802.11g access point, router and cards. All netgear.

I've got a Linksys wrt54g, and it's pretty good as a router

there's a big open source community supporting it too, so tons of extra functionality

I'm using a dlink G card atm, dwl-g630

it seems ok, supports all the encryption shiznat and whatnot
