Well of course.

And by the way, that rate is with no tickets, no wrecks, defensive driving class discount, and good grades discount. The car isn't even fast =/

Can't say for sure how it is outside of South FL, but here if you get a ticket, take it to court and plead no contest, 99.9% of the time the judge will withold adjudication and assign court costs less than the amount of the ticket. Usually around half, unless you are a complete tool.

No points
No insurance hikes
No driving school

I learned that from a ticket attorney when I was like 17. Im 35 now with quite a few more tickets under my belt. Never once had a point on my license or had to go to driving school. And as far as my insurance company can tell, I am squeeky clean.

I really just don't think I should get a ticket for keeping up with traffic, you CANNOT drive on that stretch of highway at 45 mph without someone tailgating you.

Would it help if I kept a journal from now until my court date writing down every time I get tailgated going 45mph? Or would a judge just call me a fag and tell me to leave?

He'd call you a fag and tell you to leave.

If you get tailgated, you get tailgated. But when they sped their ass up to pass you, they are the ones to possibly get pulled over. So take a little comfort in that.

Maybe it is my age or the need to keep my child as safe as I can, but I barely go 5 over the speed limit, and when I do go over, I catch myself and slow down. I just dont see the need, nor do I have the need to be somewhere so fast that I have to go 80 on a 60 like other cars do. Gid has turned the same way, though he sometimes goes lower than the speed limit and it pisses me the hell off.

That is called speeding.

Best bet is to pay your fine, since you WERE at fault, and take defensive driving. It's one weekend and some places give you free lunch. It wont show up on your report and it will be like it never happened.

So is 5, so is 1. 10 is not something they normally pull you over for. Between gun inaccuracies and traffic flow, there's no reason to pull someone over for 10 over. Maybe in a 25 sure, but in a 45 no. That is ridiculous.

Funny thing, I got pulled over last night going 85 in a 55, passing the cop, swerving, on the cell phone, no seatbelt, no plates (new car) and ignoring the cop for like 2 exits cuz I didn't hear him. He pulls me over, I give him my license and it's an IL one (I'm in CA). I inform him I've been living here (in Montclair, Oakland) since only xmas eve. He tells me, I can have your car towed since you are supposed to inform the DMV of an address change within 10 days. Then he let's me go with a warning. Good shit.

I like to let them tailgate me then when they try and go around me I speed up so they are trapped behind a slowpoke next to me.

I'm a road rage case waiting to happen.

I forget which state is was but one of the highways had signs posted with fines for speeding on them. The fines got higher the more over the limit you went. The funny thing is everyone went at the highest posted speed because they didn't want everyone else thinking they couldn't afford the ticket.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Point is he was going 10 over, and he knows it, and he's admitted to it. Pay the ticket. Most times they won't pull you over for 5mph over or below. 10, yeah they will. You can argue flow of traffic all you want but then comes the "If everyone jumped off a bridge would you do that too?" That's really not a solid arguement. He did it, he knows it, bite the bullet and pay it.

The first thing they teach you in driver's Ed class is that the excuse of "i was going with the flow of traffic" is not an excuse for speeding and that the judge will laugh at you.

10 is definitely borderline, especially near small towns. I usually go 8mph or so over the speed limit on the interstate. I just feel like 10 mph is some sort of magical barrier speed, at which you start attracting attention.

I think you sound like a whiner. YOU were doing 10 over. the cop pulled YOU over. Take responsibility for YOUR actions and quit sounding like a lil bitch. I dont know where your from but its pretty commen knowledge round here that 10 over in front of cops will get you pulled over.
