Ok, so 4 weeks, sucktastic allergies, a 4yr old sick for 2 weeks with bronchitis, and a finally-recovering-from-stomach-flu husband later, I finally managed to get in enough sleep to warrant being awake and play with my computer for longer than a minute or two here and there. Hoopla!
I'd like to introduce our new son Douglas Brian Daniel

and yes, I am TOTALLY framing that picture of him on the bottom left. That was taken at 2 minutes old. The rest were taken at 1 day old, the following morning.
Doug arrived ahead of schedule on March 13th and weighed in at 8lbs 9oz. He's as healthy as can be and has already grown 4 inches and 3 pounds heavier.
Special info for anyone that cares to know:
Our son is named for both my and Jjiaah's uncles whom are deceased.
My uncle was KIA in 1968 in Vietnam (Semper Fi uncle Doug).
Jj's uncle was killed in a plane crash, also in 1968.
Weird coincidence, eh?
Daniel is for another reason that I won't bother going into here (it would take too long to explain the significance).
March 13th also happens to be my uncle's birthday.
It about blew my dad's mind to find out his new little grandson was not only being named after his brother, but sharing his birthday as well.
Needless to say, we feel very, very blessed.
And so, I am now going to go pass out some more while I have the opportunity to do so.
