This quote brings up a topic that has been bugging me for some time now. People who use titles such as African-American, Italian-American or Spanish-American have always pissed me off. I always thought of them as racist in a way. Looking for special treatment because they weren't white. I don't judge people by their ethnicity, only by their actions.

Now, I can see someone coming from an African country and becoming a US citizen being called an African-American. It's the bruthas in the hood demanding to be called African-American (when they are clearly American) that piss me off to the highest extent.
Anyone else feel something similar? Maybe not as hostile as I am? Anyone?
