Oh and Leah I think your idea is really neat.

My friend Robbie died of cancer about 2 years back, and I have a sealed specimen jar sitting on my dresser filled with beach water from his favorite beach that he always surfed at. (He was very into surfing, its one of those things that you would immediately associate with him when it was brought up.)

The guy that invented the frisbie, who died last year, had some of his ashes pressed into a frisbie.
