That would be strange. How do you explain a random drug test at work after you get back from Vegas after a weekend from partying? Its legal there, but nowhere else.

That doesn't make any sense, how would it be legal then?

Nevada can pass all the laws it wants but it'll have no effect since the anti-drug laws are federal.

Well, perhaps you are bound to the laws of your home state when you venture into Vegas?

On the flip side, I thought technically the Feds aren't supposed to be involved in commerce matters unless its an inter-state issue. That's been one of the major complaints of drug laws all along. I'm sure that wouldn't stop them though - who care about that stuff right?:P.

I think it will have an effect. I think every time people vote it has an effect, even if you don't notice it right away.

Ok...in that sense you are correct. :)

Actually, what passing a law like that does is pit the State of Nevada against the United States of America (The Fed as you guys call it). California has been going through that battle in various courts over it's "medical" weed laws that it passed a while ago. And yes, while it may be legal in a state and no state authority will bust down your door, you can be sure that won't stop the DEA or FBI from knockin it down.

I hope they do pass it, and it turns into a big nasty court battle over State rights. I think that could be the start of turning the tide from the centeristic movement we've had over the last 30 years.
