Arlos, I agree with your points about freedom and access to rights, and it's a great idea in theory to have them but for every wheel-chair bound, custom van driving paraplegic who may get easier access to a Friday's there are countless (and I do mean countless) people who have those disabled parking tags and the only disability I can see is their ugliness. How do you deny someone who asks for that privilege? What is the criteria? Who sets it? Who measures it? If you don't have any of those, then there is no point in having the distinction to begin with and so every parking space should be built to accommodate a wheel-chair bound, custom van driving paraplegic.

I am not condemning homosexuality. I don't care what your sexual preference happens to be. I'm already at odds with the laws that grant special privilege to one group of people and not another. My whole point is that the gay community is not trying to fight for equality but rather they are fighting to inclusion. They don't want to dismantle the bars and walls that divide our society into groups, they just want to be on the other side of them.

Ultimately, it has nothing to do with what I think of the choice of two freely consenting adults. My views and thoughts are mine and I am free to choose how I interact with those two adults. My choice should be free from condemnation as well. If I own a business and choose not to serve blacks, gays and asians then no one should be condemning my actions either.

As for my straw-men, are you free to marry your sister? What about your daughter once she becomes an adult. Is that ok?

Way to contribute, Alex. You really rained on my parade.

It most certainly should not be free of condemnation. If you choose to act like a bigot, I have a right to call you a douchbag.

Let's build a huge city in Antarctica. It will be the gay mecca. Exile the gays there, and then let em do what they want... get married, fuck penguins and baby polar bears up the ass, etc. Then we wouldn't have to hear about them, see them, or listen to them anymore. Problem solved.

That's ok. The Penguins probably have smaller sphincters for the homos to enjoy.

You certainly can call me a douchbag and I can call you an idiot for not seeing that my reference is to my freedom of choice; not to what I actually choose.
