Well, if you look at it from the Marine Corps' view, Toss, their entire JOB is to kill people. That's their entire reason for existence. Also from their point of view, one of the unfortunate realities of war is that non-combatants die, and while they may try and minimize it, it is inevitable. However, the Corps also likes to be looked at as having a code of honor and personal ethics, and seems to take that pretty seriously. Doing something like those retards did is indefensible no matter how you look at it, but to an organization that prides itself on a code of honor and integrity... So, it's no wonder that their balls got nailed to the floorboards.
Now, I think I've established my bonifides as being against the war from the beginning, and deploring the tens of thousands of dead, regardless of nationality, but it isn't the Marine Corps' fault that it's over there, it's Bush's fault. Nor do I believe for a minute that the Marine Corps (or the Army, etc) as an institution is engaged in deliberate massacres of civilians. Yes, there have been individual cases, but as a whole, no.
