registered and voting green, muthafuckaz

government in this country is and will continue to be completely fucking broken until there are more than two parties to choose from

my green vote may be worthless-- and i'm prepared for the consequence that it might actually help the reds win (although this is NE, so fat chance anyway)-- but i VOTE FOR WHOM I WANT TO WIN instead of voting AGAINST WHOM I WANT TO LOSE

Fin, I think people have reached that incredibly pissed off point already this election. There's been an insane amount of college-age people getting involved this year, far more than in any other election that I can remember. 8 years of Bush has people utterly fed up.

I prefer to call myself Libertarian. :)

Fiscal responsibility. Less government. I'll be voting Bob Barr.

Same as Mar - Libertarian is as close as I come to associating myself with a party of any kind.
Government should help to promote the general welfare... not micromanage it to death (aka: stay out of my bedroom and let me make a living so I can continue to provide tax money).

I don't hate McCain/Palin, and I don't hate Obama/Biden. I don't give a damn about elephants and asses one iota.
I am also not for either set to win... however, as I said in the other thread, I am starting to really hope the former doesn't make it into office.

I still haven't decided who I'm voting for ><

Yeah, I might have actually been able to vote for the McCain of 2000. Unfortunately, that McCain no longer exists.

I will most likely not vote again in this election, or write in a third party candidate. While each of the candidates have their own areas in which I agree, each also has many more cons, and I can't bring myself to endorse either one.

are you f'n kidding me.

this is one of the only reasons mccain selected that painted up harpy, to use the sexism card. this bitch is putting women back 50 years with all this pathetic bullshit. let's bet back to ISSUES. compares herself to a pitbull and that's totally okay, but freak out over a commonly used expression that even my gramma used to say.

newsflash, the outraged feminazi sexism cries didn't work for hillary. why would you think they would work for a man who's called his wife a cunt.

(edit: fixed a terrible typo, half my sentence was gone!)

if he didn't make a big deal out of it, the whole reason he picked her as his vp would go to waste. it's not like he picked her for her clean reputation and long-standing reputation and experience. he picked her because she has a vagina, and she's easy on the eyes.

so pathetic. what angers me so much is how many people are falling for it - less than 2 weeks ago, no one knew who she was. now she's like, some messiah who's "really gonna stick it to washington!" I don't understand these sheeple. She's already been caught in how many lies..? now all the sudden the campaign is about change so they can try to stump obama's platform, but their platform is the same wishy washy shit it has been all along, they just put a wig and heels on it.

and back to the pig thing (sorry, i'm just so annoyed by the use of the sexism card because it makes women everywhere look like whiney tools) don't forget, when mccain used it in reference to hillary, that was okay:

McCain said he had not studied Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's health-care plan, but that it was "eerily reminiscent" of the failed plan she offered as first lady in the early 1990s.

"I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig," he said of her proposal.

Oh for crying out loud. Palin said the only difference between soccer moms like her and a pitbull was the lipstick. She CLEARLY put herself in lipstick there. Then Obama said you can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. It was most definitely a slam on Palin and anyone who can't see that has issues.

Okay, so... for argument's sake, let's say that Obama specifically targeted Palin with that comment. We'll also say that it's a sexist remark.

McCain said the exact same thing about Clinton, and it wasn't veiled or avoidable like Obama's comment... he flat out said that Hillary Clinton is a pig in lipstick. Is that not sexist?

It's the Republicans freaking out over something that they are equally guilty of.

Kind of like the newfound, "Change is coming" campaign. Uh, it's your boy in the oval office.

Also, she said "hockey moms." Everyone knows Soccer moms are more akin to bulldogs.

No...McCain was specifically talking about Clinton's idea. Not her.

"I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig," he said of her proposal.

She also hadn't just made some off the cuff joke about her wearing lipstick. If she had, then the calls of hypocrisy would be justified.

I find it amazingly amusing how any time anyone criticizes Palin, the Republicans are screaming, "SEXISM! SEXISM!"

Yet when they were doing far worse to Hillary, they were ranting up and down if hillary even breathed any such thing, "These are honest concerns! How dare she pull the sexism card! That's demeaning to women!"

What truly frustrates me is the facts on their 2-face lying and hypocrisy is all out there, and easy to find and read about. Are people just blind? Do they not care? ARGH.

Well then, Obama was calling 'the change' a pig... "That's not change. That's just calling the same thing something different. But you can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. "

The 'timing' is what makes this a horrible, omg how dare he, sexist comment? Awesome. Freak the fuck out. I SAID LIPSTICK - YOU BETTER NOT MAKE ANY REMARKS ABOUT MAKEUP OR YOU ARE BASHING MY VAGINA!!!!!
