What the fuck are you talking about? Of course the last guy spent the same way. where exactly did I say, SHOW ME, where I said the last administration did not spend a fuckton of money? Bush was just as much of a tool as obama is. Put the joint down and think about what you are saying once in a while. Not once have I defended the last admin, on anything really, that I can remember. (Except G-Bay, I think I remember defending their actions there a while back, but thats about it)
Secondly, you are more burnt out than I have always thought you were (but then again, I dont think I can even think of a topic I agree with you on, eg. gun control. You are one of those people that makes me think "wtf kind of dipshit is this guy") if you think this country can do without coal. Like it or not, its not going anywhere. Even if this administration dumps another few trillion into alternative energy, you wont be able to phase it out in your lifetime. And even if they did, the more this world grows, the more metallurgical coal you are going to need. Thats the beautiful thing about my industry, so many people like you, up there on the pedestal, hate it, and cant do a good godamn thing about it. Its one reason I love it, because thats just how I am, if I see that something is pushing someones buttons, im going to keep pushing the fucker, just for the reaction.
Also, you are talking so far out of your ass its embarrassing. Do you have any idea what kind of hoops and regulations companies have to go through to even get the first land permit? JUST the first stage of permitting and going through the stream testing and all that takes years. You are like everyone else, you dont have the first clue about how the coal industry works, much less been on a mine property, but you sure can read the articles written by people who hate coal! When youve been on a mine property, and seen what they go through, the processes, the permitting, the constant inspections, THEN you can come talk to me about the coal industry. Until then, you are another uninformed hippy trying to sound smart, and it doesnt work.
And somewhat on topic, as I know this is what most people relate to when they think of coal mining, I even wish they would ban mountaintop removal. I wouldnt give one damn about it if they did. In fact, I would be happy, because it would help my business. The demand for coal would stay the same, but since they couldnt get it from surface mines, they would have to get more underground, which means more equipment, which means more gold for me. That, and mountaintop removal has a million times worse effect on the environment that underground mining does. I wouldnt mind one bit if they banned it.
