I know. I've got either both (live and p99) set up or i deleted p99 because i hated playing a bard there. But still have titanium in an external hd, just need to stop being lazy and pull my pc out of the garage and set it up
There are a lot of very big changes to bard mechanics on P99 that they refuse to fix for "balance" purposes.
Aggro mechanics aren't classic, so you'll never be able to swarm kite properly either.
Bards still level faster than any class. Especially with 'blood kiting', which I see in every big outdoor Kunark zone.
My only real gripe would be that they didn't remove the hybrid exp penalties, but that's small beans. Leveling is still fast enough when one plays with a good group.

All the things Harrison said and the fact that mob run speed is slightly faster than it was on live made trying to solo a bard really painful. Swarm kiting now takes a great connection and a lot of patience as you have to run a tight circle and get 1mm from being hit to be able to land songs. It's so easy to die doing it that it isnt even worth it. They're pretty much fine for grouping tho
I am down for the gnome team and can definately contribute $$ to the cause. Thats the most fun to have on p99, doing dungeons with friends. lets make the gnome team im in!

what you guys are calling swarm kiting isn't what I've always known as swarm kiting...
swarm kiting is agroing a bunch of social agro mobs, charming 1, sending it in to fight the whole pack, breaking charm right before it dies, then killing for full XP
then charm another from the swarm, the rest will fight it down to 1%, rinse repeat
swarm kiting != ae kiting
there's not a ton of running around in proper swarm kiting
I know what swarm kiting is, and you can't do it on P99 last I checked. Aggro mechanics do not allow it.
You can AE kite on P99, and even that is broken as fuck with nerfed ranges and broken mob runspeeds.

People kite literally two hundred mobs at once in some zones. OT, burning woods and more. Ive seen a lvl 34 bard go to lvl 36 in one pull. Bards are cheaters now that people figured out how to play the game in 2013.
Are you all gonna play the brand new team pvp server coming out? The rules havent been set yet, theyre still taking input and the servers is months away but i cant wait.

Gnome Warrior incoming today, unless Drem makes one. Yesterday I ran the first three steps of my Shaman Epic, as well as having a guild allow me to loot the Child's Tear in Fear.It was a hoot being in Plane of Fear again.
I also stopped in Beholder on my way back and farmed a few newb caster bracelets. I'll try to get some more. I also have a batch of SOW potions. Still no 20 slots, but anyone who wants a few single slot, let me know.
My alt <Barterby> is in EC in the tunnel if anyone needs to swap gear or wants anything.

Nah i aint doin it. I took two weeks off and so far people never stop coming over and theres too much to do around the house. Boss is comin for dinner tonight
Do you guys actually play a lot? Late? Once i go back to work i wont be on til midnight pacific, and probly wont be able to play my weekends, honestly. Wish you guys woulda done this two years ago when i was on p99 basically alone :p
