i like wow, and im not tight with anyone.. nobody likes me, i am a stupid jackass.
ok how close ws I so far:
1) i was close

3) close. They did not gimp the cold blood with ambush, they just nerfed stealth so rogues cant ambush
4) very close.. with no mana regen 5 sec after any spell priests really cannot afford to heal, throw a few nukes and heal again. they must heal and then wait 5 sec and them some for thier next heal.

Just from limited information from the korean server, it seems this patch was filled to the brimm with nice stealth nerfs. To be honest, I dont mind nerfs if they are needed. Like mages were before they removed invis.
Last time I logged on shadow priests were heavily overpowered. The amount of cheap cheap damage I could unleash with my shadow priest was sickening. The + damage items were overpowered. But I felt priests should keep them. In every mmorpg "group" balance is based off of healing a tank. So to be balanced you need a tank and a healer. In general tanks are fun. You hit shit and use your stuff to get mobs to hit you back. In most games the "healer" class is not so fun. Its a bit stressfull and the one last thing people are always looking for to round out their group is a healer. It is not a class for everyone.
So the way I saw it was, if priests were grossly overpowered then more people would play them and we could always have the needed "healer" for our balanced "heal the fucking tank" style group.
To be bit more clear where I am coming from. In EQ, the raid guilds have practically an open invite for all top level clerics. In WoW, the most common thing to see in a public channel for 55 groups is, "BRD/Temple group looking for healer"
When 55 priests log in they are bombarded with tells for groups non stop, until they are grouped. No other class is like that.
Initially when i tried out a priest as an alt, I thoguht to myself, "Holyshit they gonna fix healer rarity by making the class offensive AND supportive."
A few nerfs later, all I have seen is priests being pushed inot the EQ cleric role.
The next beef that I fucking despise about WoW nerfing is when they nerf something that works right, to make the broken shit seem more attractive. Ill give a history of rogue nerfs.
1) cheap shot had energy increased from last push (not patch) The reason was that ALL other opening moves from stealth sucked DICK. There was zero fucking reason to ever use any other opening move other than cheap shot. It was nto because cheap shot was overpowered it was the other opening moves ate rancid donkey penis. The damage on them was ridiculious, and the energy costs way way too high. Blizzard Solution, nerf cheap shot. It just smells like SOE when stuff like that happens.
This latest patch has things of that aroma. There is a big debate withthe rogues right now, Sinister strike vs backstab. With ridiculious high energy costs and over the top talent point requirments, backstab falls short of sinister strike. Add the fact that even without talents it is questionable for a rogue to use daggers over other weapons due to the fact ambush and backstab, while are nice. are not great compared to sinister strike.
So instead of making the from behind moves more attractive by improving them, they nerf the competition instead.
SOE stink imho, uncreative and overall lame.
So Lyion, even though these were my friends in EQ, that doesnt mean I have to be a mindless follower about the some of the stupidity that goes on. I am free with both my praise and critisism.
