They details on this are sketchy at best, but sounds interesting. That is, unless its just some juke like the free JBoots (yeah, from what I heard they barely do shit).

yay just what we need to screw up a new game right off the start... A bunch of Level 1 charactors with family Hierloom PoP, GoD and OOW gear. I think I'll pass Mhila's Bloodfrenzy down to an EQ2 noob warrior... /sigh

The only way this would work would be for them to limit the powaer of an item that can be passed down. If you can pass a 100+ AC breastplate or soemthing with 300hp on it down to your EQ2 toon that would slightly screw up the noob toon power ratio... Maybe make it where you could pass down one item as a family hierloom that was dropable and had no recommended/required level in EQ1 but it becomes no drop in EQ2 because its a family hierloom or soemthing...

I would assume that an heirloom would mean something like that wedding sword from the tower of frozen shadow...pretty damn useless.

Yeah dont expect yourself to be able to do such a thing as Mhila just suggested. It will likely just be an item with no stats but has your name on it or some shit.
