So far the three teams that look best are Argentina, Spain, and Ecuador.

Brazil will take the world cup. Ronaldinho plays like his feet are made of velcro. There's no one that can handle the ball like he can.

i think brazil has only looked not so great cuz of their lack of flare.

I wish SO much that I had bet on the US vs. Italy match. The odds were very bad against the US. If I had bet $1 I'd have $1000 right now damnit.

How would you have won? It was a tie. As far as the USA having the odds against them... USA looked much better on the field than Italy, and had more control of the ball. If they weren't down by two players, they probably would have scored another goal. That must have been a royal embarrassment to Italy that they couldn't even score again after 2 U.S. players got kicked from the game.

I meant "a goal." I know it was Italy's fault that we got that one point.

Bookies usually give half a goal or more to a favored team. So in this case where there was a tie the US already had atleast half a goal when the game started. I'm not sure how many goals they gave them though...

Wow, what a game! Germany exemplified what precision-passing and teamwork is all about. That was one of the best games I've ever seen. Klose is da man! :hiphop:

I didn't have too much hope for Germany, and they have really surprised me. It will still take a bit more to make it deep in the World Cup though. But if they keep playing like they just did...... :dunno:

Thursday's match of the U.S. and Ghana this Thursday should be interesting. Ghana beat the Czech Republic on 6/17, and lost to Italy on 6/12. USA tied Italy on 6/17, and lost to the Czech Republic on 6/12. Ghana will be a strong contender for the U.S. for sure. However, the bulk of the stadium is filled with German citizens, and most of them will be rooting for the U.S.A. That may keep us pumped up enough to beat them. But... based on the previous games, this could just end up in a tie.
We should get a pool going. Whoever wins or calls it closest, gets 10,000 goats or something. lolz

My prediction (I have two possibilities actually):

Either:

USA: 1 Ghana: 0

-or-

USA: 1 Ghana: 1

I will be very surprised if this is going to end up being a high-scoring game.

The two scorers for Ghana won't be playing the game Thursday due to yellow cards accumulation.

Germany :hiphop: :hiphop: i won money thanks to them
England was a dissapointment. I expected more than a 2-2 draw playing agaisnt Sweeden.Paraguay Vs Trinidad was 2-0 but i was asleep half way.

My prediction is : -

USA: 0 Ghana: 1

-or-

USA: 0 Ghana: 0

Dont kill me pls but Ghana won Czech man...

What did you expect? England hasn't beaten Sweden since 1968.
