I dont know if regret is the right word. Vick has sold them alot of tickets, and still has a HUGE upside. Deffinatly a question to ask after both retire.

Hey X, what happened to your Seahawks this weekend?

Honestly having Alexander back this week actually hurt us. Just couldnt get a ground game going. That, and Frank Gore doing his best Ladanian Tomlinson impression certainly didnt help. 49ers are looking pretty decent.....finally.
We just had NO rythem on offense at all, Seneca looked like he didnt know what he was doing. Some of his passes were just horrid. That loss is going to hurt us ALOT come playoff time i fear. Next week we should get Hassleback back, so that will deffinatly be a big lift.

I don't think Vick has much of an upside
for all his phenomenal physical skills, he just doesn't have the mental game to go along with it (if he was mentally as good as someone like drew brees, or chad pennington he'd be the best football player ever)
I remember the chargers getting boo'd when they traded the pick and ended up with Tomlinson
much ccc in that now

Vicks could still be good but he is too inconsistent. Look what he did against the Steelers.

You also have to remember that BRees was a complete and utter bust until Rivers was drafted too. It wasn't until that he was motivated enough to elevate his game.
I don't think Brees would have developed into the QB he is unless he'd sat behind Flutie

One thing you have to remember with Vick also is, he has had something like 5 offensive coordinators in 5 years. Thats alot of adjustment to get used too. Every year having to get used to a new playbook is tough in the NFL. Not making excuses for him, but it does take time to learn new offenses. Second, he does have to get mentally tougher, watch more game footage, study harder...something. This guy has a phenominal arm, but no accuracy. He also just is not very good at reading defenses either. If he can learn those 2 things (not that tough) he could be the best quarterback in the league, or at least be in the top 3. Right now he is in the bottom third of QBs in the league imho. (still draft him in madden though jeje)
Not having an upper teir reciever has hurt him as well, along with not having a consistant recieving core as well, it has changed pretty dramitically from year to year. You have to build chemestry with your recievers in the NFL game. You have to be able to think what they are thinking based on the defenses you see. The only reciever he has that reporte with is Alge Crumpler..and it shows.
PS yes i know my spelling sucks, im too lazy to check it la!~

Hi douchebag! Still flashing that scintillating personality! I bet youre a hit at parties.
Thanks for the backup Lioking. Tikker is a whiny bitch that doesnt know when hes beat, and still thinks 'faggot' is a cool insult because he spends all his time on the internet.
I am, and shall continue, revelling in his witless insults and complete lack of humor.
Dear Tikker,
Maybe you can call me 'Gay' in your next little bit of brilliance!
Eagerly Awaiting,
Mofish

I dont mind the saints winning a bunch of games to help get the town back on its feet, but if they are scripted to win the superbowl im going to be pissed !

Drew Brees really is in my opinion a upcoming quarterback, honestly they are a legit team so many options with that offense.

the thing I found interesting was that compared to last year's 53 man roster, they have something like 34 or 35 new players
that's a huge turnover in personnel
anyway, it's always nice to see the cowboys get their shit pushed in

With the way Brees is playing this year, he could win the MVP. I think it would be down to him or Tomlinson.

I think LT will get the nod
Brees is definitely playing awesome, but there's so many new Saints that are playing really well, it'd be hard to say he was the reason they're on top
LT tho, setting league record for scoring, and really being the focal point of the offense deserves it

True, but brees should be in the running hes about to break some marino records i mean 7th straight game where he threw for 350 yards or more thats pretty impressive. the saints where complete shit at the QB position, they couldnt of gotten a better QB that was available

LT's records are more impressive. Not only did he break the record, he's going to shatter it.
The only way Brees would win it is if the Saints win the Super Bowl...which isn't going to happen.

I actually don't think Brooks was that bad, but saying brees was the best available QB is kind of a no-brainer
(don't get me wrong tho, i definitely like brees)
ps Jeff Garcia in a west coast offense is a good match in philly too

He only had 198 yards passing last week. Think you have some mis information about records sir.
I believe the record you are thinking of is yards total in a season.

he's got a ways to go yet for 5084 yards in a season (at least I think that's marino's #s but i don't feel like googling)

Sounds about right Tikk. But he is over 4,000 yards now with 3 games left. 320 yards passing a game is not out of reach by any stretch.
Posted: Mon Dec 11, 2006 3:24 pm

Compare that to LT though. LT has ALREADY broken the record, not barely...and still has time to do an equivalent of what would be like 6500 pass yards.

too bad the bears didn't sign brees
