NC is treating us well. Except for the sunburn I got when we went to Kerr Lake on Monday.

NC is def one of the better of the southern states. specially up around the blue ridge mountains. virgina is probably the best of the south, that is if you can afford to live there.
speaking of southern... haven't seen fishhead around...

We're in Wake Forest..it's just outside of Raleigh.
We probably should have moved to Virginia really, the company Kahar works for has an office in Raleigh and one in Richmond but he seems to spend most of his non-travelling time in Richmond.

Richmond is very nice, but has a very very high crime rate. Well, at least as of a couple of years ago - not sure if they've cleaned it up some.
If I had to stay in the south - I'd move to NC or Virginia. Both of those states offer the best of both worlds. You want snow and mountains? You're a couple of hours drive north... you want beach and heat? You're a couple of hours drive south. Well, south to SC from NC... but still...

Yeah, we wouldn't live in the city...but probably a town close to the NC border. The office isn't in Richmond proper anyway, it's just easier to say Richmond.
Kahar's been going on and on about getting a pontoon boat for one of the lakes around here....not really sure of the attraction, but since I've never been on a pontoon I'll give one a try.

Not to derail the derail, but he called yesterday telling me how much he missed me. I told him I was sorry, but I wasn't going to live like that. He said he understood.
