My most memorable raid would have to be with a VOX raid with LOS, when most of our raid wiped and Sinah tanked vox by herself using the cheals from her soulfire. All the clerics kept running back to the room and casting a cheal and wiping. That was an areniline rush.
BTW lyions photos were from 1999. Storm Reavers broke up in early January of 2000, long before Vel. Another Raid I will never forget is akind of a Mini raid. Polonious asked me to go check out a new mob in paw with him. Forget name guy who drops the IShiva robe. I was like 40 and he was 50. Needsless to say I died, several times( Crazy Bard):P
I miss the Storm Reavers anyone remeber the name of the enc/necro couple from SR? Asslyn and keadin i think? They were the ones that broght me to Nameless from Rodcet.

After killing several add wyverns/wurms and loosing almost all of the 25ish person raid it finally ended up with me Pendret and Goleleb about halfway in to HoT killing the wurm in his room. When we finally won, both of them were totally OOM and near death, while i had about 20percent hp.That was probably the most intense fight of my EQ career, though ive had alot since that came close. Think the wurm dropped leather hat and chain bracer if i remember right, was so ubr.
My first NToV raid with remedy was pretty sweet, we smoked Aary and i was there for what i believe was their 1st Vyemm kill, good fights for true.
Sukartiz and his pull messages were pretty hillarious, in fact most of the chat in ntov was probably some of the funniest stuff ever.
Regret's 1st Tunare kill at about 5 or 6 in the morning was wild
Our 1st MOTG raid in ST was with about 8 people and we whomped him was good stuff........ This Is A Book
i was a little late for that worm kill, but i was definitely there for a lot of similar situations, those were fun....ny.
every Regret first i had a blast with in Ntov.
Then Tunare, hehe thsoe were all rather amusing, especially because they allll lasted til like 4am and id always fall asleep, except that first one the one i got my earring and maybe one other.
Id say my most memorable one was when we cleared everything in ST, that was one of the most fun nights ever (the first time we did it)
The one raid that sticks out most of all..
Camping ragefire for innaja back in my BOS days, we had gone thru prob 6 spawns of firegiants over the pieriod of the weekend. Prob round 4 to 5 am in morning for me in the US. most of guild is camped out in naggy's room, me and innaja and maybe 1 or 2 others are there. A Los Ogre shaman runs into room and starts BS'in with us keepin us company
Next thing i know he goes "Watch this" hits Cani and falls over dead!
Couple secs later he stands backup. "See Shaman can FD too" at 4 am i was laughin my ass off, he did this about 6 or 7 times before he misjudged cani and fell over dead for real
The other raid that sticks out in my mind were all the POA and chardok raids paragons was doing for warrior/cleric epics also like malluas and minrott were talking about. The one air raid i remember more than any other was the one i refer to as "The war of the Mages".
Ill have to set this one up a little
we had 4 mages in paragons at the time. They all had tons of pieces to their epics done but not one of em had all of them to put one epic together on their own. Somehow they all decided to pool their no drop items together and get one of the 4 mages a finished epic. At this time there was maybe one other mage on nameless with a completed epic? (I could be wrong but i remember they were really rare) Couple days after they finished the epic we were on a POA raid. Guild chat started flooding up with lots and lots of drama and literally put the raid to a halt about halfway to spiroc isle(im sure i was the one hailing the damn halfling too) The mages were goin apeshit and just scrapping like mad. apparently the mage that finished the epic left the guild for LOS . Ive never in my eq life seen such a ruccus before like that to this day. that was a raid i will never forget. Probably the most entertaining of any Air raid ive ever been on
(Forget the guys name, was male erudite who was actually one of the other mages in the guilds real life son)

None of the high end raids I ever went on strike me as memorable. By then the game had lost its appeal. The raids that stick out in my mind are from Kunark days when the game still amazed me.
I remember when I was in Saiyans of Norrath and we raided Dalnir way back, I was in the only group that survived and had to do corpse retrieval. I looked up to our guildleader Squier so much, aw hell I still do look up to him. He shaped my attitude regarding how I was in EQ. I still remember being so amazed when he told the guild what a great job I was doing during the raid. Funny how shit like that stays with you.
I also remember raiding Trak with Valorguard and being so damn scared. We wiped out so many times that night and I was listening to Bodies and Tear Away on my play list, whenever I hear those songs I think of that raid to this day.
I remember praying to camp out in time as Vindi spanked a raid, being almost out and hearing STOMP STOMP coming up behind my character. Needless to say I didn't make it out.
Some old plane raids stick out too, mezzing huge trains. I always loved being a smug bitch in Plane of Growth when Velious came out too. I was one of those people who refused to make myself kos. So I would sit on the hill during raids with the few others who didn't want to be kos and buff in between fights.
All the higher end raids just became all the same thing to me. Maybe its because my computer was so shitty ><. I do remember when SoL came out going on a Greig raid and being the only one left alive. Thinking OMG I MADE IT! Then seeing this ugly purple motherfucker come around the corner and stomp me. I almost pissed myself. After that raid they all became boring too me though. Especially in GoD when none of my models worked right and I saw everything we were pulling as huge humans.

WHO HAD THE LAST PIECE HE NEEDED.... ME
He only needed the Lev Cloak and good old Malluas had one. Then he left. I was pissed cause i gave it up for him to then leave, cause i could have used if a few times so Gore didn't assrape me from all the way across the zone.
Medcid from LoS was begging me for the cloak. But i thought maybe it should go to a guildie if anything. And well the rest is history.
i missed being one of the few floatin warriors
I do remember Zarlas and Sapho sayin it sucked he screwed me and the guild. Then they started yelling at me "Why did you give it up" hehe ah what fun.
I actually think that was the raid i got my wingblade also... can't remember that far back

Siggi quit around the time of the Xandralia / Ixnay scandal. See, I don't remember exactly but Siggi and her were involved somehow in RL. I believe they had previously been in a relationship or something, there was a whole boatload of drama, and he pretty much quit EQ so he could concentrate on rebuilding his real life. I hope he did it. I always liked that fucker.

Back in the day some of my favorite raids were PoH pickup raids that i lead alot of to get my indo armor. Lots of really cool people that have long since quit used to be at those... Wooh, Angie,Damorn, Holyfield, the Archy's to name just a few.... Best one was after dozens of raids finally getting 2 warrior BPs and a cle BP in the same raid and within 5 minutes of eachother. The 7:30 am Grandmaster kill with Ravenjix and only about 5 others for the war bracer/gaunt drop was pretty cool too. That was about a 15 hour raid, gogo repops.
My frist plane raid with The Hunters was going smoothly, untill i decided it would be cool to lev up a tree behind the temple on the wall the raid was standing around. Nearly urinated when the entire temple HT'd me and proceeded to destroy the entire raid, gogo 2 hour CR

TFS 1st rathe kill recently was one i'll always remember too
I was always on those hate raids ><
Me was probably a fun day in GD where me as a 55ish enchanter recruit for Sanctuary was told to help some people iniate the ring war here was the dialogue pretty much
Atalya tells the group " So what are we doing here in GD today?"
Fell tells the group "We're doing ring war"
Atalya tells the group " How can we win ring war with 2 groups?"
Fell tells the group " We're not trying to win"
Atalya tells the group "Oh ... ok "(my cock block cherry was popped from that day forth)
Or my first planar god slaying with Sanctuary on CT. I had to be swear not to reveal Sanct's l33t tactic of charming Irak (whatever the pally epic dood was) and using him to tank CT.
Innaja's RF camp was fun but i prefer Pegiers. I was playing Surreal 2.0 at that time and all of CT was farming Wtov for shitty kael armor when we got the call RF was up!" Course after my group of smackage zulkir and like 2 others zoned in (we premade a KS group) War Dragon zoned in and set up ogres at the IZ to Sol B blocking anyone else from getting through and after someone triggered Rage we KSed them easy all took reports and SS's of our group getting the exp then Pegier got her heart and the next day the cleric epic was changed.
I remember all the good pickup raids, Guntaag, Wooh, Calabee, Carriestin, umm that one human mage that did growth every week Mirkuri! (i think), umm so many more. I mean we even had Metranon on rental any time for a BD or his choice of melodic armor because after all he was full exp into 60 with epic.

The VG Vindi raids were alot of fun, we died alot but man we all had a good time. I remember Thor yelling so much for folks to camp out and come back and stuff. Good times.

haha, I remember one of the best times was when we (sanct) thought we were so sneaky and badass, when little did we know that LoS had been reading our boards. I recall "a super sneaky ninja attack raid" we had planned, we were going to cutoff LoS in the process and make them cry.
They ruined that for us haha, man people were pissed when they started posting in our private forums.
Someone here has to remember what that was all about, I can't seem to recall what we were going to ninja raid.

Best raid ever...
The Book of Souls in plane of hate. Sitting in a room for 6 hours staring, literally, at the wall, waiting for that fucking book to pop.
Good times.
This was, or course, before those faggy translocate spells, and Arbaal was the only wizard I knew that had the balls to port me up. Snero was such a pansy.

The ass that was the Rogue Epic...
The only thing worse than that was camping that underwater spawn in Lake of Ill Omen for my Cleric epic.
I keep getting the EQ itch, and these posts make it go away rather fast.

every raid with Finger was incredibly memorable. We were a dysfunctional family with Finger and one of the other officers yelling at everyone, spawnrushing vs Sanc, and enjoying being despised. Wuoshi, Trak, ntov, pog.. fighting over all the 2nd tier shit when sov had just come out was too enteratining.
It seems this thread is old, but I'm posting in it anyway. That picture is not of the new UI, to me it looks like the old UI in full screen mode. The old UI had the gay looking windowed thingie, then F10 put in that full screen mode, then F10 again took everything away. That's what it looks like to me anyway, so it definelely could be from 99.
Anyway, Uggie hate raids were always fun. Is he even around anymore? We were in Lost Lords together, but I lost contact with him some time ago. He was always willing to help me out in the old days.

We never even came close to NToV. Perhaps our greatest kill was that stupid wizard guy in Velks. Either that or Vaniki for his uber willsapper?
Killing Draco in fear and getting that shield to drop was cool b/c when it was first out it could be equipped in the back slot so Draxle won it and a week later they changed it to be secondary...
Bind rushing Woushi was great fun as well, even though I never cast a single spell due to the fact I was always feared and running in the opposite direction.
