how about "captain battle" or "sergeant warrior"
Real navy rank. A Master Chief on a Seal Team with oodles of missions is likely the toughest real life warrior you'll ever meet. If you see a guy with this insignia on his collar, and the tridents on his chest, he's done things you probably couldn't imagine.

I'm only just starting on the third mission but this game pretty much kicks ass. It's extremely challenging and the coop game is a blast. I haven't done the VS multiplayer yet but the amount of customization is pretty incredible for a console game.
It's not anything ground breaking but it's definitely a solid followup to the franchise. My son gets his copy today. He's been talking smack for a week now about how he's going to "pwn" me. We'll see...

if it's a navy rank, it must rank slightly above an eagle scout, not like a real soldier

I think you are confusing the Air Force with the Navy.

We're talking about the US navy, not the Canadian navy.

As expected it was an overhyped piece of shit.
A few hours of gameplay, tops. Easy, short, pathetic.
A friend invited me over last night to play it with him, we DESTROYED it on legendary and when it ended we thought it was a literal joke, until the credits scrolled after the "funeral" for the fallen.
The message might as well have said "thanks for giving Micro$oft more money, you stupid fuck"

Want an outline of how they destroy the entire thing to prevent the spread of the flood? (I guess that's what the parasites are, I have no idea since I didn't play much of halo 2 at all)
That game was pathetically easy, and shorter than any FPS I've ever played.

to be fair, the multiplayer is the reason people buy/play the game

It felt like they spent 10 minutes creating the campaign...
Half-life 2 is the same exact way. It is made for multiplayer and modding. The single player campaign in HL2 BLOWS Halo 3 out of the water.
Halo 3 felt like a half-game at most.

So you and your buddy beat the entire game from beginning to end on Legendary your first time through in 3 hours? You are full of fucking shit. End of story.
I'm not saying the game is long but I am saying you are a liar.

Was closer to 6 hours, just guessing though.
I never said 3 hours, crackhead.
Some of us are good at games, you just aren't one of them.

Few suggests 3.
Why the FUCK would you spend 6 hours (I'm guessing more like 8-10) STRAIGHT playing a game that you hate so much? I honestly don't know what the fuck you are trying to prove or who you think you are fooling but it's obvious you are FULL OF SHIT. If you don't like the fucking game, don't play it.

It's more hanging out with friends than playing a game.

My nephew beat it in one night. For the game of the century with more hoopla and launch buzz than the Space Shuttle, one would expect a tad more gameplay.
According to him, the game is pretty much the same as Halo 2, also. I liked Halo 2, and I guess one should expect more of the same.
I'll borrow it when one of my friends is bored of it.

I did like the hammer/axe weapon with the area effect, and the tank.
But...
The game was pathetic overall.

Just beat it. Loved it all the way through. It may have been a bit short on the single player campaign but I liked it more than Halo 2. I beat it on Heroic so I'll probably run through it again on Legendary. I started on Legendary but was getting pasted every 10 seconds so started over again.
The campaign is MUCH easier coop. Even on Heroic, there were several areas that were very challenging playing alone.

I wish more games did Co-op. I really enjoy that mode. It made Dungeon Siege from a mediocre game to quite fun IMO.

Haze will destroy this fucking franchise and be to PS3 what Hugh Grant was to Jay Leno.
You heard it here first.
