My personal favorite thing to do so far? Shoot people's limbs off, and/or their weapons out of their hands.

I just make heads explode. Jump up, hit VATS, aim for the head a half dozen times with the machine pistol, and watch them die. The only ones that it doesn't kill outright are the second and third tier super mutants.
Also, don't bother getting the steam rail gun schematic, the hunting rifle is better =\ Thought it was kinda challenging to get it in the National Archives.

If it's anything like the other fallouts, you could use the hunting rifle right to the end almost.

Yeah, the hunting rifle is actually a pretty decent weapon. It's no Lincoln's .45 Cal Repeating Rifle, but it gets the job done.

The thing I love the most so far is when you use vats, and it does a matrix thing where the camera follows teh bullet from the instant it leaves the muzzle right to the point where it enters a raiders eye and explodes the head with the eyeballs flying everywhere

leading up to release i replayed both fallout and fallout 2 and i have to say that fallout 3 lives up to the series. so am i the only one to try to explode the nuke in megaton?

I just finished the game as a good guy. The main quest is really short, but there are some pretty cool quests in it.

Though she is a gamer, and kicks my ass in Tekken 5 lol (with 150% handicap that is...)
