When will it stop?
http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12 ... -says?liteWhen guns are outlawed!

(and I mean ALL of them, if you want to hunt, go to a farm, rent a gun at the door, tree your bear, corner your deer, shoot it, skin it, eat it, done).

Its not hard to reload. I drill switching mags pretty often and can do it pretty damn fast myself and I have no army training at all. Its just like anything else you practice the move enough and you get good at it.
Washington dc and chicago have gun bans how is that working out for them how bout La. No the problem isnt the guns its the conditions that some of those places face every day. Its armageddon out there cuz what we do dried up when our country told us to eat a dick. Its the poverty its the dope trade and they would be just as aggressive and just as violent if guns were banned cuz they would still have them to protect that product. ALso like i said and you mighta missed my greatest fear actually isnt guns its knives can you get those banned for me while your at it ? Everythugs got one in his pocket and they arent shy about bringing them into a situation. I dont look for trouble but i help people when they are in danger and i live in a crazy place so I find it more than most.
ALso running like hell isnt an option for me as im slightly disabled and wont be running anywhere fast. Also sometimes there isnt anywhere to run. Cops have a 45 min response time due to budget cuts so if anything happens to you its up to you to stay alive until the " proper" authorities show up. You dont gotta like it gyps but thats the way it is and i dont see it changing any time soon. Id love to live in a peaceful utopia but I live in the real world where some times bad people do bad shit for bad reasons. You say i might not need a gun if the world wasnt like this... well i say them kids might not be dead if they had proper security and we had a much better healthcare system in place.
Ya know the real reason why those other countries you mentioned have a lot less violent crime ? Its called a social safety net and healthcare and they look out for there people a whole lot better than we do in some ways. Also i think scottland is the stabbing capitol of the world and assault rape and burglary are all sky high in the united kingdom as well. There is no perfect society we all just do the best we can. I dont want to get hurt so i dont beef with people over silly shit I stay in most nights and carry a weapon just in case something does pop off and that suits me just fine.
ALso my glock is sitting on the desk about 9 inches from me right this second and it hasnt threatened me or tried to talk me into suicide or murder so maybe mines defective .

I think you might be reading me wrong as usual. I was being a bit smart. Im not advocating that children should carry guns in schools but that someone damn sure should.
If children are are most precious resource and we get so upset when a few of them get killed lets get serious. Gun ban or not they are still out there and so are the coo coos so lets make sure that no one can ever shoot up a school again. ever.

Medical discharge(with the waivers should I choose to re-enlist, which I have zero plans to now). I didn't "flunk out" as you're implying.
Don't get all butthurt because I shot down one of your ideologies you share with idiot politicians who think a mag capacity is making the world safer, with proof.
Bayonet lug bans, adjustable stock bans, forcing flash suppressors to be fixed/not removable, and restricting the sales of "high capacity magazines" etc. do
absolutely nothing. Do you honestly think the length of the stock makes a weapon more dangerous? Or the attachment of a bayonet or not? "just lol"
Yet, this is the type of legislation you people push for. Rather than more stringent screening procedures, which is an actual solution, and one that most 2nd amendment supporters are fully on board with, you go for the least effective.
Fear mongering works both ways, and the less informed in a gun debate always think those silly restrictions do something, when the rest of us laugh at the absurdity. (Because we've actually spent time with firearms...ahem, the boogeyman I mean.)

Its 2012 bout to be 2013 who the fuck uses a bayonet.
Adjustable stocks are great for when your shooting with a lady or tiny person. Also wtf is a high cap mag? what number is high ? If its the guns standard mag is it considered high cap ?

Anything over 10 is considered high capacity in Massachusetts. It depends on the state you're in.
The joke is in the idea that having to swap a magazine is somehow going to lessen the amount of people someone will kill.
This is true only with someone who picks a gun up off the ground never having used it before. (hence the type of people who pushed for such a ban on capacity, fucking rofl)

I wish I had a stop watch id time myself. It doesnt take long enough so that if i was a crazy shooter a buncha kids could escape thats for damn sure. I can do a lever pretty damn fast too but ive never tried it with a pump. Ive seen it done before though. Any gun can be used if you practice with it and it seems like these lunatics plan shit out in advance.
Heres the thing this type of shit gets major media hype but assault weapons and spree killings do not make up the bulk of murders and gun violence that plagues us. I dont know how many times i have to repeat thats its all about poverty lack of social mobility and americas prohibition culture. A gun ban is like a band aid on a severed limb it makes ya feel like you did something but it doesnt do a whole lot to fix the real problem and you keep bleeding.
What incentive is there to not sell dope when your broke and it can be very profitable?
How do you solve a dispute over something that your not sposed to have ?
If your going to jail for the rest of your life over the dope in your pocket why not shoot the cop and run?
If that witness saw something that could take down your whole business what reason is there to not kill them ?
How much murder do you think we could stop if we came up with an awesome plan to employ people , got everyone a decent education, and drugs you know something that has always been in high demand was treated like every other business? If you really want to fight against violence in america questions like those are what you should be pondering .
But hey some of you should go pat yourselves on the back cuz you dont own a gun and think they should be banned cuz they are like seriously evil so you are doing your part to fight the problem right ?

More people are kilt a year by beatings clubs and blades than guns ? If thats true I didnt know that and im kinda shocked. But just the same everyones got a bat in there house ive prolly got one laying around. See people jump outta cars and go at people with em all the time too. Ganzo if thats right we need to take bats out of circulation sure you can hit a little ball with it but you cant deny that its one true purpose is to club the shit out of things.

I think i used to see Detroit survival of the fittest shirts all the time .
All joking aside you break down those murders and most of them are going to have to do with the other shit i posted bout earlier. Another ugly thing you find when you look into violence is that booze plays a key role in a lot of it. I think I read a huge portion of murder and assault is done while under the influence.
Its a big mess and everything is linked to everything else. Banning guns with america as is isnt going to have the desired result and I firmly believe that.
Last thing bothering me as that I think a lot of you are full of shit when you act like you care. Yea its a big deal when its a school or a major media hype like trevan(sp) martin case but most people who get killed are slum dwellers and bad guys and I dont see a lot of you giving a shit about those places. How bout when cops kills folks we never a national conversation about police violence. People get fucked up every day where I live and the news doesnt report it cuz its business. When people get got where I live theres no news vans theres no 24 hour coverage and there damn well isnt a national talk about what we can do to make the ghetto better. Just fuckin white people wanting safe white places. Long as the uglyness doesnt touch where you live you dont think about it but you see a little of it and all of a sudden you all think you know what the answer is.
Want to end violence than discuss what we can do to end it in a realistic way. Not everyone is going to play nice and its really frustrating to me that you guys really dont seem to grasp that.

No one is disputing that. Poor people always slaughter each other throughout history. I'd love to see a graph correlating poverty levels to violent crime/homicide. Because the number of guns statistic doesn't mean Dick.

This is factually inaccurate, and frankly I'm a little surprised that something so wildly incorrect is coming from you since you usually substantiate your arguments. What that chart does is take factual data and twists it beyond recognition. The 16k figure is the number for
all homicides, including firearms. The person who made that is apparently illiterate.
http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/cr ... _final.pdfInformation collected regarding type of weapon showed that firearms were used
in 67.7 percent of the nation’s murders, 41.3 percent of robberies, and 21.2 percent of aggravated assaults
If that report isn't good enough... since that little graphic that's coming from fairy-land wants to cite the FBI and CDC, you have the FBI link above.. here's the CDC link:
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr60/nvsr60_03.pdfCheck out page 37.
67.7% of the nations murders--that's almost 11.5k of 16.8k--committed with a firearm. That's an
overwhelming majority. I have no idea where the "data" about baseball bats comes from.. but baseball bats are intended to use in, you know,
baseball games. Guns are intended to be used in.... anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
...right, shooting things.
And here's another, just in case:
http://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/data-and- ... icide.htmlAs for Spazz, I don't really disagree with anything you said in the paragraph you addressed to me. But we also have to consider why it got the way it is today, and I think where you and I differ is that I think the culture we've created in adoration of our right to bear arms plays a significant role in why violence runs so rampant here. We may not have the highest firearm homicide rate in the world, but that's probably because that title belongs to countries also topping the list in drug trafficking. But I cannot and will not ever be able to fathom why we have 5% of the world's population and something like 50% of the world's guns. That's absurd. I will also never be on board with handguns or any type of automatic. It's just unnecessary. It's necessary for you, perhaps, but it's necessary for you because of the paradoxical chicken and egg scenario. If shitbird assholes didn't have them and use them to do heinous things, you--a responsible person--wouldn't need one to defend yourself.
No one is saying the gun convinces people to do bad things. I'm saying that the gun gives bad people an easy means of accomplishing those things that they would not otherwise have.

more of bad doesn't make good, sorry, that argument is so flawed it's not funny.
First, outlaw guns, then pay a police officer to be at every school in the nation. This is a far better fix.
You're hung up on guns because that is all you know due to the culture you were forced to live in.
I look at this brain freeze akin to say, "why use the combustion engines, steam works just fine". Progression occurs when you learn from the past and change what you're doing going forward. If you think decades from now we'll have a super army of citizens all walking around with guns, I'd say you're crazy. If you suggest that more guns is the answer to gun crime, you'd be wrong.
Our media glamorizes these killings, these will only continue and every time it happens, a nail is placed into the gun coffin.
I'm confident to know who is on the winning side of this argument, and it is me btw

. My only enemy is time, it's not the people who love guns, their voice won't be heard as time moves on. The boom it is today will be a whisper decades from now.

I believe that if our founding fathers could foresee the type of fire arms and arsenal our military would have today, they might have chosen their words a bit more carefully. I mean back in those day's the musket was a weapon of choice. I have no problems with everyone carrying around a musket.

Yep, I'd have no problems with people owning black powder single-shot muzzle loading muskets. They did have pistols back then too, but they were also matchlock muzzle loaders. (that you literally had to clamp a hunk of burning rope into, in order to fire shots.) I'd even be fine with people owning those kind of pistols.
Anyway, people would like some empirical data about what actually happens if you get serious about banning firearms? How about what Australia did in 1996 after they had a mass shooting there, where a conservative PM pushed through a ban on all semi-automatic firearms?
http://world.time.com/2012/12/17/when-m ... -main-leadThe government did a buyback of all the newly illegal semi-automatic weapons, and in the first 2 years alone, took in and destroyed over 700k weapons. You know the results? Australia saw a drop in gun-related crime between 1996 (when the law was enacted) and 2006 of 59%. That's right, a nearly 60% drop in gun-related CRIMES because they enacted stronger gun control laws. And funny, neither nation has become a horrible tyranny that could have been easily avoided if only the citizens were armed to the teeth....

I'd gladly give up my handgun if everyone else did in a similar fashion to the Aussies. I'd love to see millions of semi auto weapons taken off the streets and destroyed and the future sale of them banned.

Arlos and Gypsi, thanks for finding and posting the links, I didn't care to take the time and I appreciate that you both have.
Spazz, Mindia, and others not in favor of gun bans, you now know for a fact it is doable, it works, it is the right thing to do, it is what nations do as they grow and move forward. It is what we will do, just have to get a few more dead kids on the TV I guess to convince you, unfortunate cost that you require to open your eyes, such a shame more must die by your lust for weapons.
