Very fun game. I'm now lvl 15 almost 16 on Justice. Everyone on Justice needs to come hook up with me, Sarthis and the other EQ old timers.

I would but you all level too fast for me, and I forget your names

In CoH you cannot outlevel your friends.

If you are withing +/- 3 levels just group up.

If you are more than 3 levels below, just have them sidekick you.

People when making teams in this game still have not figured out they can take anyone thier level and below, all the way to lvl 2 for a group. With sidekicks the low level player is buffed in damage, fighting level, and hit points to the higher level.

am 14 now, and I spent the better part of 3 hours today just flying around.

Does Fly really burn a lot of endurance? From the description it sounds like an end. guzzler.

My highest level (still only 11. Missions are getting pretty tough to solo now. Bosses wreck me) is a jumper, so I plan on going with super jump anyway, but I've got hover on a couple others...

P.S.- Any Super Jumpers out there? How do you like it?

I have too many characters.

I still dig going to the Character Creator and making clones of Marvel guys.

Mr Sinister lives <under the name Nathaniel Essex>

I made Callisto.. I have Sabretooth made...

That sad I have 6 chars between 5 and 10, and my level 12 Controller....

Fun fun, and no pressure to vroom up levels..

Same here. I get an idea for a new build, and I have to try it out. It's half of the fun for me at this point.

I think it's safe to say at this point that I dislike playing scrappers/ tankers though (which makes me sad). Having to chase (and chase, and chase...) a mob around until it finally decides to stop moving for a split second in order to get an attack in edgewise is extremely irritating.

Tankers/ Scrappers need either a mod. dmg./ fast recharge ranged attack, or a fast recharge ability that will stop runners (if only for a short time) like web grenade, chilblain, ring of fire, etc.

If you ahve one DO end reducer in fly that is green you will lose a tiny tiny bit of end each tic. If you have 2 you will gain a small amount of end each tic.

It is an end hog but its not used for combat or anything other than transport.

As for super jump, its the coolest of the travel powers. Fly is the best for ranged players but jump is so damn fun.

As for chasing mobs don't chase them, the reason you can't hit them from behind is the game has a small amount of server lag. You move faster than most of the bad guys (till you get super bad guys after lvl 20 with all the powers you have) just pass by the bad guy with the power selected and it will auto fire.

My tanker is 10 now and with this technique no problems at all. If it gets too far away, just wait or go kill something else.

I don't see any links to pay to download this shit online, anyways, I'll probably buy it today, still need tankers or what? I'll play whatever is needed... Also, Justice or Victory or what? Dammit ;p

But... what do you guys need? Finals are done, I have nothing going on, I'd think I could level up pretty quick if it's fun, so, what class~

Flink play what you like, no required classes in the game

Flink, go Blaster. Anyhing else isn't really you.

Why do you people still call me Flink, a character that has been gone for years? I mean, last time I played Flink, HS was a crowded zone. That character along with that account has been long gone. You don't see me posting from Flink DaTink anymore either, do you? ;)

Flink was a gay little necro that only got to 56, it'd be like me referring to you as your alt all the time, or, an alt from years ago that you deleted.

You will always be Flink.

I still think of you as Flink. Blasters are the most common class right now, which is the only reason I wouldn't recommend it. I have one at 14 though, and its incredible.

Make a Techno/Energy Blaster. Make it short and call it Flink DaTink.

Flink do not shy away from your gnomish heritage, be proud

A well played blaster with the right skill set can rock. Last night I was running to groups of 10-12 mobs and burning them down (all even con), rest for a minute or three and move on. Scrappers are pretty cool too, but like everyone said, there is no "cookie-cutter" group in this game, no holy trinity, screw around with a few different combos and have a blast.

Tankers are nice if you are engaging alot of mobs with multiple boss types. I've died a few times because we didn;t have a tanker to taunt off of me ><

As for flying, while it does eat up end, you won't be using fly while fighting because it drops your accuracy. I have no problems with flying across a zone and having to land to rest.

Anyone managed to get a Single Origin Enhancement yet?

I'm going to play my Cable Clone for a while.

I'm on Justice as Cable S if anyone wants to chat, or invite me to our gay team.

Was just about to ask if anyone has come across any SO's or gotten any cool souveneirs. I've heard SO's are rewards for completing trials. Are there low level (say, low teens) trials?

Anyone able to tell me about DO's? Someone told me they were sold in Steel Canyon, but I couldn't find the merchant. Was also concerned that they might be all lvl 15 min. enhancements or something that I wouldn't be able to use yet...
Do mobs drop DO's at all?

Think I need to start grouping up to complete these story arc missions. The trash is all yellow (more than 2 yellows at a time and I'm in hot water) and the bosses are orange, so they pretty much hand me my ass, unless I beef up on respite inspirations.

I'm worried about outleveling my contacts though, unless the souveniers for completing story arcs are utterly useless. Like, if you get the hellion bandana does it just sit in the souvenier window, or can you wear it around? The storyline alone is alright, but wearable, displayable souveniers would be nifty.

Such a hopeless n00b~

Be patient and enjoy the ride, Flink. This isnt like EQ. There is a storyline and a lot of stuff you can check out while you level. If your goal is to vroom through the levels, you're going to be miserable.

Gangs control different areas, and the Prima Guide actually tells you, but its more fun to check.

Rooftops usually have the best mobs in an area.

Once you get past 7, you'll have no issue finding bad guys. There are actually way too many of them.

Yeah, you won't be able to enter most of the buildings you see unless they are like hospitals, or the city hall type buildings. Public buildings.
They will unlock for you if you have a mission inside them, like with LDoN's (if you played that expansion at all).

The search and destroy missions are exactly that: run around town, and kill any of those type mobs you can find.
Be sure you're killing in the right zone too though.
You might get the mission from a contact in Atlas, but they may need you to go to King's Row and kill them there.

I took a mission once (when I was brand new) that was supposed to be in a sewer, but I wasn't paying attention to where my waypoint was, and ran to the regular sewers in Atlas. I got wasted by like 8 red hellions before I knew what was going on.
