You're damn straight.
Hmmm so by that, you are in fact a hypocrit.......
Looks like you're having a bad comprehension day?
Hmmm i fail to realize how that is not being a hypocrit. You enjoy it when it happens to catholics, but if it happened to a christian, you are against it. Hmmm sounds hypocritical of you to me.........

Instead of saying it's idiotic, why don't you be a reasonable person and say why you disagree?

He is a cultist. The SDA is a fringe lunatic cult. I mean come on, their founder was immediately proven to be a liar, a plagiarist, and a false prophet to their faces. No cloak of time to obfuscate. They still chose to believe the lies. How dumb is that. Pretty fuckin dumb!

I've tried to be "reasonable" on the NT. It didn't work. The only language many of you understand is anger, frustration, and hostility. I can't be reasonable with a bunch of people who have their heads buried in the sand. I cannot reason with people who refuse to accept the fact that (OMG they just MIGHT be wrong!). You all think you're right, and you all think you have all the answers to everything. You have to throw tizzy fits every time somebody comes along and says something that goes against your beliefs. Many of you are backwards in your thinking. A few of you have gone to anti-SDA propaganda websites, and all of a sudden you're experts on Adventism. You are a joke, plain and simple. Your BS is wafer-thin and anybody can see right through it. Instead of being willing to learn something and be objective and open-minded, you have to consistently put up a barrier... a defensive wall while wearing your knowledge deflector shields. Try to be reasonable you say? LMAO. Not with this crowd.

Mindia, you just explained yourself to a T in that gripe-post. Why don't you get that? We'd be happy to listen to your side if you would explain it in a thought-out manner as opinion instead of absolute fact and we're all wrong. You never explain the whys, or the hows, just that this is the way things are and if you don't agree LOL you're a moron!
Your post baffles me. All anyone ever asks you to do is map out why you feel the way you do, and all you ever respond with is insults because you can't come up with anything. If you would stop grasping for straws and post an honest thought that's your OWN thought and not something drilled into your head in a response that makes sense, people wouldn't think you to be the dipshit stubborn ass douchebag you make yourself out to be.

I admit I argue with you simply because I just can't grasp how you can think the way you do. I think I keep hoping you'll just once explain your position without resorting to name calling, emoticons, or any other dodge you use and it'll actually make sense for a change.

Ok I'll break it down for you. I applaud the Betheny adoption agency for standing up for their beliefs and wanting to protect the children against any influences they disapprove of. That's how strongly I feel about catholicism. If catholics would remove the Jesus effigies from their crosses, stop kneeling down and praying to Mary, stop confessing their sins through an intermediary instead of just confessing to God Himself, stop praying through the rosary beads, saying "Hail Mary's," removing all the idols (statues) from their churches, and stop talking about this nonexistent "purgatory" which isn't mentioned in the Bible, then I will say it's ok for the cathocultists to adopt a child. And converting their "Mass" to the Sabbath (Saturday) would also be a HUGE plus in my eyes.

While I admit Catholics have some odd religious practices, none of that is worthy of denying a child a home. They do still believe in God and Christ, afterall.

That's fine that you believe that, Mindia, but that's all a matter of opinion. They believe in what they do, that doesn't make them a cult. They might feel the same way about some of your church's practices, does that mean that people from your church shouldn't be able to adopt? Of course it doesn't, no one should be denied a family because of what they believe in.
As long as this world exists, many people will believe in many different things. People will never know truth until they die, so to punish them while they live for having belief in something is ridiculous. Nothing is fact, if people have any hope or faith at all, well that's better than nothing imo. Everyone has to believe in something, it gives them hope for the future - who is anyone to tell someone else what to believe in to give them something to look forward to?

Yes, you're absolutely correct. But do you know how many qualified couples are just waiting to adopt a child? Tons. It's not like the child is going to have to stay in foster care for another year. Since this all happened I'd be willing to bet that 3 or 4 dozen other qualified couples are being investigated right now who want to adopt that very same child.

Nobody can view an SDA worship service as a cult. If you don't believe me then go to a Sabbath worship and see for yourself. They start off by doing the announcements, then singing songs of praise to Jesus, then they kneel down and pray, then they have children's time where all the children go up to the Sanctuary for a few minutes to learn a valuable lesson, then there's the sermon, and then there's more praise singing at the end of the service. Yeah, that's very cultish...
We also partake in communion quarterly, and we do the washing of the feet in humility to Jesus. Jesus Himself washed other people's feet. He also preached in the synagogues on the SABBATH, which is why WE do it.
There is nothing cultish about the SDA church or its worship services. If you want to learn about Adventism then go to an Adventist service. I've gone to many other Christian denominations' services to get a feel for how they operate.

Saying the rosary, going to a confessional, etc. None of that is in the bible.

When we were kids we used to cram into a bathroom, close the doors, turn off the lights and chant, "BLOODY MARY, PLEASE APPEAR. BLOODY MARY, PLEASE APPEAR" over and over again. It started to freak out some of the kids. It was some catholic kids who initiated it too... no joke.

I'm not saying the SDA is cultish, I'm saying there may very well be lots of people who don't agree with your church's practices. That doesn't mean they should be denied a child.
