I do agree, in part, that poor people don't do a very good job trying to STOP being poor, but the government doesn't do a very good job to stop it either.

My biggest problem with the arguing in this thread is that people like Zanchief are saying that "white people being smarter than black people = black people are fucking stupid." That ridiculous.

Dont you think people faced with having to work will push thier children ahead to try and excell so they dont have to live like this? Looking at the graph without being presented with any numbers, that is not a diagram of IQs.

Average IQ should be 100. According to that graph it is closer to 92. That is wrong.

Perhaps it is just from misleading data being presented.

I've come to a place of peace with myself that, as a white person, I'm, on average, less intelligent than a random Asian. Blacks can do the same thing... but they don't have to worry about who's smarter than them... they can assume that EVERYONE is.

That is only true if your test score was below the average of the Asian test scores. You can not apply any of this to an individual unless you know what their test score actually is because all ethnic backgrounds overlap. Go figure... the average person is average.

In all reality 10sun gave you a compliment in saying you were wrong, because for you to be wrong about this you would have to have a higher IQ then the average Asian test score, which would place you at above average intelligence for your ethnic back ground, and above average overall.

In my experience, intellectually, blacks in the 18-25 age group are on par with whites, who are also very very stupid.

If you see a difference, I blame culture.

If your trying to blame breeding, then note that dumb blacks were not crossed with dumb blacks. Uneducated blacks were crossed with uneducated blacks. Thats it.

While so many are sure they are right on this issue, maybe we should go back and look at the facts.

The only fact actually is that there is some statistical data that shows that "blacks" score lower on IQ tests in part due to genetics. It in no way says that "blacks" are less intelligent (whatever your definition of that word may actually be). The only thing the data shows is that genetics may play some part in the reason why "blacks" score lower on IQ tests the other races. The studies are very specific when they say that genetics only plays a part in the results.

My person opinion on IQ tests is that they are really not that accurate. I have taken 3 and scored within a 10 point span on all 3 tests, however people whom also took them had scores that ranged over 40 points on different occasions. If these tests are truly a way to measure your "intelligence" shouldn't you roughly score the same every time you take it? I also find it a little odd that the 3 test I took were completely different; there was nothing really similar about them. Possibly the fact that I scored so closely on all 3 show that they really can be accurate but then again I just look at people who have such a wide range of scores and cant help but question them.

As far as genetic effect on intelligence by race, I would say it is very possible and probably likely that genetics does play a part in the intelligence of a race. I do however think your environment has a far greater effect on your intelligence then your race and genetics do.
