Yeah I blame him, he was the idiot. He is the one who made the bad choice, but of course I want his sentence reduced, he is my baby brother. However, I feel if he wouldn't have been high at the time, he would have made abetter decisions.

Again, i don't know the whole story, just he bits and peices my parents tell me.

So maybe mine isn't the only cockholder that needs to remain shut, as you don't know the whole story either, eh?

Oh, tacos!

Taco Bell accepts debit cards now, so I think I might go there after work today and pick up a delicious 7 layer burrito.

So Kizzy, I'm not clear on why you blame the drugs other then your denial that your brother could participate in such an act.

As others posted, what did pot have to do with this?

If your bro was already hanging with the wrong crowd, and I mean gun toating crowd, this should have been writing on the wall, you should be hating the folks he hung with.

I hope to god he didn't say in trial "the pot made me do it"

Look - see

Little ceaser $5 (or $6 depends on where you live) has completely killed my desire for pizza. I've eaten so much I just can't stand it anymore, any kind of pizza.

as stated before, Clakar, my brother wouldn't have done somehting like this if he wasn't on drugs.

Am I wrong if I say that a person would be more willing to do crack, acid, heroine, and other more serious drugs if they had been smoking pot first? As opposed to just jumping right into the hard stuff having never done drugs in their life?

IMHO yes, I think you would be wrong. I think as soon as someone wants to experience something other then "normal" (being drunk, etc), they are more likely to try any other drug (E, Pot, etc).

Now I will agree to say this:
Pot is illiegal, and if someone is willing to cross "that" line, they are more willing to use other illigal substances, that part of your statement I can agree with.

I used pot for a while...decided to try something harder after all I was in control. Amazingly enough I got hooked on coke. Yeah I have been clean for 12 years now but I regret the first time I lit up the pot. It was a gateway drug for me. Had I not started using it as a recreational drug I would not have found the so called friends that got me hooked on the rest of the shit.

was I at fault...yup.
Do I agree had the drugs not been there or had a little more self control I would not have had to go thru rehab? yup Drugs were apart of it. Its not something I was proud of or am. I have been clean and the hardest shit I take now is a aspirin. Perhaps a guiness once in a while.

i have no desire to do "hard" drugs, its the weak willed that call it a "gate way drug". the same people that turn into alcoholics, or chain smokers, or crack fiends. going to happen one way or another, addictive personalities are at fault. guess we need to ban and control every substance that might be harmful to protect a minority.

Im not understand kizz maybe you can make it make sense. Why do you think it is thje fault of drugs and not the fault of your brother ?

The fact is tuggan. I think why people are pointing this out to you is untill it is legalized it is still Illegal. To condone one crime for another is hypocrisy(sp?). Tug I agree dogfights shoulfd be busted up I never said otherwise. But to complain about the criminal sides of it is insane when you yourself use one of the criminal sides as a recreation. Or perhaps you get the pot that is stamped "Not sold at Dog fights" similar to the "Dolphin Safe Tuna" can?

My point was I dont consider nor do most legislations consider this a high crime. It is a crime yes, but I consider rape murder and chil molestations high crimes. Dog fights are a little down on the list.

Been clean for 12 years, how about we both pee in a fucking cup?

When was the last time you toked? I became very anti drug after my experience so much to the fact I became a cop. Yeah it was in my past and I have left it in my past. I just point out there is a BIG difference between a user and someone that does not use, you still use because you most likely cant quit. Your a junkie plain and simple. You say you can quit. But can you? When you make it 12 years drug free then come talk to me about it. I doubt you could go 1 year without baking your fucking gourd and killing what little brain capacity you have left.

It's ok for him to break the law for his entertainment (smoking pot). It's not ok for other people to break the law for THEIR entertainment (dog fights).

It's that simple.
