When your balls drop and you're old enough to have kids, please, come back and give advice on raising children.

Go to toy stores. Play guns look very real these days, not the orange and red and other bright colored plastic they were when I was a kid.
When my daughter(s) and/or son is old enough to actually LEARN how to use a gun, she/he may go to ranges and take safety courses.
But for now, anything under....I dont know....14 or 15 sounds good.....no. Not as long as they live under my roof, under my Nazi Rule.

der toys kill. I collect toy guns im aware of how they look. Only ones that look real are the air soft and if you give those to a kid your askin for trubble. So youve got young ones and you havent tought em any gun safety ? Are they total taboo in your house ? Wouldnt you think knowledge over how a gun works and what could happen be better than now ifr you see a gun at jonnys house dont pick it up ?

they will not be placed under any supervision and will be able to legally purchase firearms.

from maeya's link, about those two kids. my dad collects guns, he's very responsible and as far as I know of course, he's never killed anyone. I respect that...but I am still against the "right to bear arms" and can't see how it does any good to have one, no matter who you are. sure, it is a right, but I think it should be more of a privilege. if you want to have gun so bad, join the police force, or become a constable.

My dad would belt my ass when I got out of line, and im thankful he did. I agree with whoever posted above that said parents today are pussies. Im not talking straight out abuse here though.

The worst was when he caught me cussing, he would then make me put a bunch of hand soap on a toothbrush and brush my teeth with it for 5 minutes for each damn word. :ugh:

No. I havent taught my young ones gun safety. One is still brewing and the other is 1.5. She cant even shit by herself.
But when she gets older, I will be telling her that there is no reason for her to even touch a gun.

I am not sheltering them. I am not being ignorant about it. I am likening this to teaching your kids not to touch a burning flame. It hurts.

I was spanked regularly with a belt when I was a kid and I turned out to be a hellraiser with a strong, life long contempt for authority.

Was that supposed to end as a question or was there supposed to be more to this statement? Let's not post in incomplete sentences.

I never understand a single thing spazz posts. He's harder to decipher than Sorina.

What dodge?

I will assume that you left that as an open sentence, perhaps a question. I'll even fix it a little.

And if one of your young ones is at lil joeys house later down the road and discards mamas advice bout dont touch....?
Slightly better...

Well hopefully, I will have smarter kids than you and they will actually listen to me. But hey, let's say either of them grow up to be retarded.
Let's also say they shoot their foot or someone else's foot. Well, that'll learn 'em, huh? :finawin:
Seriously, we don't own and never will own a gun.
If my daughter were to go to "lil joeys" house, I would already know if that family owns a gun or not. If said family does, indeed, own a gun, I would ask how they are storing it. If it is not to my standards, I would not allow her to go to "lil joeys" house.
It's really as simple as that.

They all make sense, you just need to add the punctuation in your mind. Seriously, everyone on this board types with incorrect grammar, so why point out someone's illiteracy? I heard illiteracy is still a big problem in the US...

Spaz is a bit over the top. He has very intelligent comments with absolutely NO grammar and often times no relations in his sentence, Drem. It's like a puzzle figuring out wtf he's saying.

Maybe the drugs and ciggs make his hands shake so bad he can't actually use apostrophes, commas, or periods, and prevent him from actually conjugating.

For some strange reason I understand everything Spazz writes. Its the rest of you that vex me. What is it with you guys not being to understand ideas presented outside the grammatical box? :dunno:

Most of the times I understand what he says, I read through elementary papers. It's about the same.

But it was just that sentence...or question...that I didnt really get. I couldnt respond to it properly until I understood exactly what he was saying...or asking.
