Ok. Since I am still not seeing this as any different than not playing with a lit candle, how would you, Mr. NoKids, tell your hypotheitcal children not to play with a lit candle?
There is really nothing you can do other than tell them not to, tell them what happens if they dont listen and then redirect them if they start going for a candle in front of you.

I dont know why I even ask, nothing you say can make me change my mind. And I'm almost certain you're too dumb to pick up that I'm not freak-outish about this, I redirect their attention to something else and when asked, said I didnt like it.

Heh, good luck redirecting your future teenagers if you intend to use the "Don't play with it because I said so" routine past the age of 5. Life is about making choices, at some age they are going to realize that. The choices from then on will be made by them, not you, no matter how much redirection you try to give them, and in spite of how much motherly bluster you put on. You will probably be able to influence those decisions, but not make them. Figuratively speaking, they're going to stick their finger in that candle, even though you told them not to, even though you told them why not to.

Personally I'd rather they learned there are consequences for every decision made while they're young, rather than once they get behind the wheel of a car or something of similair gravity.

I went to public school too and I work probably more than anyone I know and have plenty of things on my mind yet I can still put a sentence together better than a third grader. We're not all William Shakespeare. Reading something as grammatically foul as yours or spazz's post requires extra time to decipher the proper message. Once that's done then I read it and totally understand it for what it's worth because no one ever misunderstands anything on NT if it's typed correctly.

A gun isnt a lit candle. I Think mandatory gun education for anyone old enough to go to school would be a really good idea. Stupid ass kids smoke each sometimes perhaps the stupid fuckers would play with a gun no matter what ya said. Perhaps it would be better if they new how to see if it was loaded and safety and all that rather than find and play with one with no idea whats up. I dont think you have to have a kid to think gun safety is a good idea. All im sayin is later on i dont want your stupid fuckin kid to shoot itself or its little friends and i think dont touch might not be the best way to keep it from happening.
