Yeah but "y'all" makes more sense than "yinz." "Y'all" is short for "you all" which is totally understandable. "Yinz" isn't short for anything.

I'm guessing that "Yinz" must come from "You'ns" which, while attrocious grammar and english, is at least vaguely understandable.

I've all but butchered my New England accent.

It's an affront to my senses. It comes out when I least expect it (drinking).

I was just thinking that. :)
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

You are, obviously, proud to be from Michigan.
I, on the other hand, hate Texas with every fiber of my being, despite having lived most of my life there, and consider it to be one of the great assholes of the USA, hence my not wanting to emulate anything having to do with the state, including "speaking" it's fucked up language.
I enunciate my words properly, and have taken great care to not integrate the "twang" into my speech.

Honestly. Fuck that shit right out the window.

I had the misfortune of living in Kansas when I was younger, and started to pick up the local accent, much to my parents' horror. About all I remember of the accent was to end words with an "uh" sound. Like tomato or potato came out as if they were spelled tomatuh and potatuh.

Fortunately, such hideous accentage has been long since purged from my speech patterns.

You still have an accent Harri.

I've gotten rid of mine, just a couple of words remain and they kick out hardcore when drunk.

Was at a cisco course a bit ago, and we had an instructor from "Arkansawr", which is apparently next to "Missourah"

it was kind of funny, in that he actually had no clue where he was in North America (when he was here I mean)

good call

I make the same thing, except once it's all mixed together, I grate some cheddar over top, sprinkle a bit of parmeson on top, then bake it for 15 mins(or until cheese is uber bubbly)

That sounds good. We do it the cheap way, mac and cheese, cream of mushroom and tuna. Its yummy. If you like tuna that is

I've lived in Oklahoma all my life. I have a similar accent that is atrocious.
