I was in a guild named Sanctuary on The Nameless server in EQ back in Kunark when we had a bard app along for a Trakanon kill. The bard's name was Shadowspear. Trakanon dropped the ultimate phat lewt, a Singing Steel BP, bard only. Trak also dropped Trak Guts, a necessary item for the Bard epic quest.
Well, right after Trak is killed and the loot is announced, Shadowspear suddenly goes LD. And then, surprise, the Trak BP and the Trak Guts are no longer on Trak's Corpse!
This was back in the day when Verant GMs had the authority to do just about anything, including out a thief. So the GM showed up, and did just that, telling the guild that the missing BP was in fact on Shadowspear's toon, who was still logged out.
The GM retrieved the item and handed it over. The flames that ensued for weeks after on the private forums used by people on that server were amazing. Shadowspear initially denied the entire thing, claiming he did not steal the BP and Trak Guts, and that the GM was lying or mistaken.
But about two weeks into the flame fest, he suddenly recanted. Of course, it wasn't him who stole the Trak BP, since he had to run out to the store or something right after Trak died.
Nope, it was his "Fijian roomate" who did the dirty deed. At least another month of flames and comedy passed about that, and everafter on The Nameless server, when anything went missing or disappeared, everyone joked that a Fijian roomate must have done it.
Selective memory of another - Sanctuary member, who swears " Track Guts " didn't even exist in this time period - Had this occured, I would of been the very first Singing Short Sword on the entire game given by this time Epics weren't even .. part of the story line - Oops.
Also this took place during "Velious" not Kunark - Had it of been Kunark, that would totally debunk his theory of "Tark Guts" Given epics didn't come out till about midway thru Velious. In any event the inconsistancies are pretty loud and clear!
Also no clear mention of there being any other " Bards there " because I was clearly an "app" in this persons eyes. Refreshing however, I don't recall every applying, just... being an " in your ear " outsider / associate of the guild when you needed another bard there. ie; When the guilds bards were not on. " Garolick, Garolick??? "

He's right about the Fijian thing. It's part of the Nameless vernacular because of you. No small feat.

Does playing him fall into the category of " holy shit log on Garolick we just killed Trakanon for the first time with this Shadowguy here"
rofl... Yes, just as my room mate was playing me.
Looks like its' time for everyone to re-write their history books, got a testimonial that changes the context of everything thats ever been said :P
I rest my case.

I missed you too Ginz, did you go thru withdrawals the whole time hoping i'd come back and play with my little boy? -- It's been three minutes before your response, how terrible.
And if you could read, dear fag.
I called no one a liar, I actually reinforce his claim of playing the toon, and not the player themselves - though, it happens to fall right in line with the idea that it was in fact someone else that logged him on during the time of the corpse - hence.

Question, did you really have a Fijan roommate at the time? I think it's a really great excuse if you didn't even have one. Really brings depth to the lie IMO.

His name was Ritesh Chand, lived with me in Fort Drum New York - - 100% fact.
I later united with him in Afghanistan, 2004, at that time he was a Seargent.

I love how you are still here to defend yourself after all these years.

Zan: No, he never played EverQuest at all. He said it was evil whilst chanting:
"Hari Christna, Hari Christna , Hari Hari, Christna , Christna ~ " a prayer to Shiva, of some sort.

I was actually playing him the whole fight, so wasn't just when the kill happened. All I remember doing on the raid was playing manasong since the fight lagged my shitty PC to hell at the time.
