Actually, I think that the statement of "subsequently got America into a financial mess," is HIGHLY debatable.

Look at the economy by the end of Clinton's terms. (booming, very low unemployment, budget surplus)

Compare that to the economy at the end of Bush's terms, 8 years later. (Economy entering Great Recession, millions of job losses, economy in shambles, record budget deficits.)

And you're saying that it was DEMOCRATIC presidents who got us into the financial mess, especially given that Bush had an entirely Republican congress for big chunks of his time in charge?

I am thinking that that does not compute...;)

Again, I have to point out that I've said a couple times already that Bush spent like a drunken sailor, and that kind of liberal fiscal spending is not congruent with how the republican party is supposed to act. I also mentioned that because of that kind of behavior is what prompted the conservative grass roots movement to rise... a group of republicans and conservative independents trying to get back to true conservatism... the Tea Party. I'm still baffled about what made Birnstar spit out his beverage...

The Tea Party is funded by billionaires. Grass roots movements don't have billionaire support.

. The mother fucking OWS movement is funded by billionnaires and a prominent globalist. What was your point exactly? Anyway, the tea party IS a grass roots movement.

Anyway, my biggest problem with the democratic party is their retarded stance on social issues. Their fiscal retardation just adds fuel to the fire.

Why don't you just exercise some restraint and have some respect for the rules of the NT and make your point HERE in a civil manner?

Because my point is that you ignore people's points.

Hey, remember when that guy (forgot his name) called Arlos a "Brown Shirt"? Arlos unleashed the fury on him like I've never seen.

Oh, and I'm not (trying) to ignore posts. Remember, I'm in a mofakkin truck 12-14 hours a day, and simply don't have time to respond to every post. I can't text while driving (I might drive into the Pacific Ocean and then pray instead of swimming to shore) and you can't text in a refinery either (where I pick up propane) so my time is limited. When I get home I spend time with the family, eat dinner, take a shower, play a little WoW on the illegal vanilla server Lyion posted, then go to bed, wash-rinse-repeat 5x a week...

Bullshit. There might be some vocal support but there's no "OWS" candidate running for office with a billionaire bankroll behind them.

This will of course be dismissed as not credible, but here you go: http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/po ... all-street. Heres another one. There are hundreds of these sites, all from different sources. http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011 ... -crowd.php

oh man, there are plenty of things to address in both those articles without even resorting to the bias argument

I'm sure you will. :). And you're going to provide some hardcore evidence that proves that George Soros did NOT help fund OWS either directly or indirectly, right?

There's nothing to fund. There's no candidate to bankroll. Is he providing soup and blankets for the people camping out? Is he providing markers and materials for making signs? What exactly is he bankrolling?

I haven't read the articles yet, but how, exactly, is Soros bankrolling something any different in any way than the Koch brothers bankrolling the Tea Party?

I'm not contending that. My statement was in response to Tossica's comment about how "grass roots movements aren't funded by billionnaires blah blah blah". The Tea Party is a grass roots movement, and so is OWS.
