Clinton was a lame-duck president. At least Bush is making progress Nationally and worldwide. I love how many of you laud Clinton because you were mesmerized by his oratory skillz, and that he was a Rhodes scholar. Just further proof that many of you have difficulty in positioning of proper priorities and value systems. Just because you're a democrat, and Clinton was a democrat, does not make him a good president. Bush is much better for business, for the economy, for education, for National social issues, and for worldwide affairs.

For those of you who like to place Clinton on a pedestal, I suggest you read the biography, "The Final Days" by Barbara Olson. Yeah I know... that means you might have to put down your comic books for a couple days. Just open up your minds and read it.

Clinton was reponsible for the longest period of economic growth in the history of this country. I hardly call that "a lame-duck president". He also had one of the best job aproval ratings of any preseident since they started tracking it. The people of this country seemed to think he was doing a damned good job.

He had high approval ratings because he did nothing without taking a poll first. Just because something is popular doesn't make it good.

I still consider him one of the greatest presidents this country has ever had behind FDR and on the same level as Reagan.

$25,789 wasted. That's more than a lot of hard working people make in a year. Some prank.

Adds up to between 13,074 and $14,017 to me. And things like the $1500 cleaning bill would have been charged anyway. There is always pranks after a president leaves office.

Sure its imature for the clinton or any presidential staff to do what they did when they left. But this is something that heppens every time a new staff come in. It happened between Regean Clinton as well. You also had alot of people who think that the election was rigged in the state of Florida giving Bush the presidentcy even though by popular vote he had lost. I am sure this caused alot of anger amoungst the clinton staff. Lets also rememer it was the huge staff that did this not him. I do think that the Clinton staff should pay the 14 - 15K in repairs and that they should have just been sent a bill and spared the tax payers the 200K investigation.

You missed the important part.

As in the number of votes that were not counted or incorrectly counted.
Whether it be the chads, or it be that the order of the people on the ballots was changed in certain areas and in those areas, they had an unusually high amount of 3rd party votes and it just happend that the Demecrate and 3rd party cadidate were swapped on the ballots. And of course that it was the state that his brotehr happened to be the governer of that had all the problems was also fishy.

Regardless, it doesn't matter what you or I think of what happened in that election. I was just pointing out that it was the feeling amoungest the staff and many members of the party at the time of the incident.
