That's a good trade but benefits him more than you...

The #1SG for #1SF makes sense...
But then...

Francis is probably the #2 or 3 PG (fantasy...) while Fin-dog is PROBABLY a top 10 F/G.

It's pretty even but the edge DOES go to him, ever so slightly.

personally, I'd keep Peja over almost anyone... there are 3 categories that he'll likely LEAD in... FT%, 3PT% and 3PTM... that's a big contributor.

however, if you are looking to move him... make me an offer because I'd love to have him =p.

that was one of the first things that Zan and I noticed when we saw the new teams... you had the 3-point market cornered... at least with Nash, Peja and Lenard...

Trades shouldn't happen simply because you like players or think that the 1-person will make a difference for your team. The trade should either blatantly exploit the other player because you have inside information (like if I traded Reggie Miller to someone because I knew that he was going to retire...) or be BENEFICIAL to BOTH teams. Even if I traded Shaq down for 3 players, it should boost both teams.

I'm still looking for a good SG and PF! Talk to me, someone, ANYONE! heh.

It also means that Chris Bosh will start at power forward. Marshall, who saw minutes at both big positions last season, then moves on down the line to small forward. However, with new point guard Rafer Alston and Vince Carter set in the backcourt, Jalen Rose is slated to start at small forward, and the Raptors have two decent backups at that spot in Morris Peterson and Lamond Murray. The end result is that Marshall has been pushed to the bench, where he'll find playing time behind Woods and Bosh. Hmm he shoots about 45% very good for a guard, numbers in the playoffs are better then the reg season and plays very good D.

he had one GOOD post season (3-5 games, took Oakley ( i think or was it Davis? challeging his manhood to step up for a couple games)... and thats it. I watched him do the 50 point game or whatever it was.. but he has had alot of subpar games

Zan this is fantasy sports... vince will get points but you want people that fill a stat sheet. Webber, Brad Miller, Keralinko, Marbury, Kobe, even some of the rookies etc

i would take him if i didn't have who i have tho just cause of points.

Steve Francis - Arguably the best fantasy point-guard in the league. Zan will give you a different opinion about his 'in-game' stats... but his numbers don't lie. He's a top fantasy pick.

J-Rich - One of the top guards in the league... probably your 2nd best fantasy player. A great fantasy pick because his team sucks otherwise... so he's gonna get the ball a lot.

Steve Nash - You know him. He's a stud. You probably have the best guard lineup in the league... all 3 of them are studly starters.

Peja - We talked about him already... he's a monster. The #1 SF in the league. The only player you shouldn't trade for anything short of 'another' #1 player (shaq, TD, etc)

Troy Murphy - Probably your weakest starter. I'd try and move him... he's injury prone and won't do much for you.

Matt Harpring - A 'good' player. He'll fill in on many categories but won't LEAD in any. Regardless, he's a good fantasy player, especially for someone hurting in the forward department (you).

Theo Ratliff - Led the league in blocks last year... a defensive monster... will keep getting better. He's a good starting center. He puts up solid numbers.

Stromile Swift - Plays for Memphis, which is a big worry for me... Hubie Brown doesn't like to play his people more than 30 minutes each... which sucks for fantasy... BUT, he IS a stud. He was a free-agent this year but nobody tried to get him BECAUSE Memphis made it clear that they would match ANY offer to keep him. That's a good clue for his value. Keep him.

Your two utility players are solid performers... Mason will get a lot more minutes this year and Payton has something to prove. Don't look at his stats from last year for an indication of his abilities.. go back 2 years and you'll feel more confident with him.


That's your starting ten. All in all... I'd probably say...

You might have the best guard lineup in the league. Your forwards could use some work. Peja is great, Harpring is decent. But I'd work on moving Murphy. Your centers are slightly better than middle of the pack. They can stay... besides me, everyone else has a similar setup for centers. One stud, one scrub. You have one 'almost-stud' and one 'good' center. Instead of a 9 and a 3, you have a pair of 7s. That's good.

Also... you will probably dominate the FT% and 3P% every week. I don't think that there are any teams in this league that have so many 'great' shooters as you. If you lead every day, that's 26 points straight off the bat. That's brilliant. In addition... guards have the best A/T ratio in the game, and you have BRILLIANT guards and a studly forward, you could lead A/T as well. Nash was #1 in A/T last year... Francis was probably in the top 5... payton is up there too. So... that's 3 stats that you could possibly lead the league in. That's very good.

Sooo... in conclusion, you have what a lot of teams NEED... Depth. Too many people here have their 2 badass stat-gods and then a few people that they don't know what to do with. Your whole team is pretty solid... I think you'll be one of the main threats this year.

Francis will do better now that he will not be limited by Van Gundy. He is one of the better rebounding PG's.


I disagree on Richardson. He needs to have a few seasons under his belt before he is labeled a good SG. Just cuz u win the dunk contest...


Peja is top-notch.

Murphy/Harpring- not much there.


Nash, while still one of the better PG's, he can only do so much now. He is getting older and the times of him playing recklessly is bound to catch up to him.

Ratliff- I think he is also on the downswing.

Stromile- Big hype.

I read the scouting report on Murphy and they said he should get some minutes and they expect he might be a sleeper, so I kept him. I didn't see anyone on the waiver wire with more potential, IMO.

Again, this is just from stat browsing and reading the Fantasy news. I need another workable Forward before I dump Murphy.

Although I'd trade one of my bench guards for a decent Forward.

In my opinion, I think Zan has the best team.
