Toronto also has a 20% poverty rate according to the Canadian Council on Social Development. I wouldn't be bragging. Neither country has done a stellar job battling it.

I have to agree with Zanchief that the racist and or bigoted attitudes are showing themselves. We might disagree to an extent on the realist/racist argument, but the reality is that the term "nigger" gets thrown around an excused by those who do it.

Most of the racism is spawned by racism. Black people are across the board are more racist towards whites, than whites are toward them. Unfortunately you can't get this information by driving through the ghetto, as seems to be the extent of many of you alls experiences with other races. You have to actually spend time and interact with them. I wouldn't recommend doing this, unless you WANT to become racist, but it is certainly an option. Of course this is not the case with all black people, but most of the black people who aren't this way, live in predominantly white communities. I'd also like to say im not racist, it's just the fact that the qualities I dislike in any human being are more prevelant in minorities.

I'm not sure that you are really in a position to make such a post though, only because I don't think that you are included in the wide range of people you are referring to and you really don't know what you're talking about. Because you live in Canada and not here, and because you do not have the same issues to deal with on a daily basis the way that we do here, you are not allowed to talk about people on such a general level being racist for trendy reasons. It's not a trend, it's how it is.

The majority of the black community in our country still believe that we are oppressing them. They use one thing as an excuse to slack, and that is that because we had slaves years ago. We always have to remember that, and give them what they're due. It's the truth and the reason it's fact...is this. Without someone like Jesse Jackson, or organizations such as the NAACP, black people wouldn't have a leg to stand on. As long as they single themselves out and take advantage of being a minority they will never give themselves reason to succeed.

I don't know anyone that doesn't put themselves in the positions that they are in.

My friend's sister just got arrested by three black cops- not in uniform- or even on duty... for not picking up her dog's poop. Tell me why it takes three cops to arrest one small chick?

shit happens to everybody because no matter what color you are there are some fucked up people out there. Racism is a big deal here, there are two races that have a difficult time getting along or understanding each other. Language, clothing, and music are all very different tastes between the two. We have our own channels now, our own Yellow Pages and our own Churches. White people and black people do not want to live together but they do and they do it separately and they bitch about it all the time. If you don't deal it with every day then you don't know what it is like. I treat everyone the same that I see no matter what. Most people I know do too. The one's that fight are the ones that are too stupid to know better.

we don't have black problems, we have indian problems

where I live, it's almost 50% natives
they pay no taxes, get everything for free, so don't give a shit about anything or anyone

i'd trade you all our indians for your blacks any day of the week

I live in a city that is 62% black -

2 out of three of those will spend some time in jail

1 out 2 of those in public school wont graduate

70% of them will witness a violent crime with in the next year.

I Would like to hear YOUR solution. and while you are coming up with that solution the system lets you get away with so much shit that alot of ppl dont want it to change so they can keep abusing it .
