Your weak excuses for this guy sound like a high school kid calling in to work so he can go party on a friday night.

Funny how no other coaches manage to replicate his success...

Funny how he has to keep coming out of "retirement" because the Hall still feels he isn't worthy.

Do you have any idea what the requirements are to be nominated for the Hall?

no one does.. Namath is in it with average at best stats.. but he was a icon.. then you have Joe and his 4 superbowl rings etc

Dan Marino great stats can't win the superbowl

Tom Brady will get in and his stats are very good and he has the superbowl wins

Jerry Rice will be in with his insane stats and superbowl rings.. and Chris Carter will with his stats that will eventually not even be top 5 soon

who knows

The Steelers proved that the Bengals record was just a result of a weak early season schedule

They didn't even play particularly well, and stomped them (aside from the 1st 2 drives, jeje)

What they consider greatness and what I consider greatness must be two completely different things. "Charged with the vital task of continuing to be sure that new enshrinees are the finest the game has produced" etc.

Which name below does not belong with the rest of these names:

Don Shula, George Halas, Tom Landry, Weeb Ewbank, Joe Gibbs, Earl Lambeau, Vince Lombardi, Hank Stram, Bill Walsh, Bill Parcells.

If you say anything other than Parcells you're either A)Personally biased for the guy for whatever reason, B)Smoking kudzu, or C)Just trying to be a smart ass.

And Willie Parker ran all over them. 131 and a td on 18 carries.

And as a side note, which of those coaches had the lowest winning percentage?

The Steelers are a pretty good team in their own right though, and they match up particularly well against the Bengals' weakness. I'm not ready to dismiss the Bengals just yet.

Bill Walsh's record for his first year with the niners was 2 - 14. His overall record is 92 -59 - 1 and 10 - 4 in the playoffs.

Since Weeb Ewbank coached the Baltimore Colts and the New York Jets, I am guessing that he has the lowest winning precentage.

The Steelers should be 6-0 (Randle El and that fucking lateral at the 10 yard line would have salted away NE, and FUCK TOMMY MADDOX FOR TRUE)

When Cincinatti beats a good team, then I'll concede they're a good team

Until then, they're just an above average team, with a weak schedule winning the games they should

remember a couple years ago when the Bears went 13-3 (the worst 13-3 team in league history likely, jeje)

Randy F*&$%ING Moss played when he hadn't practiced all week and everyone said he was out....

on a 3 game losing streak after going 4-0

Pitt should've lost to San Diego. They did show the gaping run D hole that Cinci has, but much more was the dropped passes and missed opportunitues early on. Dont be surprised if Cinci blows out Pitt at Pitt later in the year. Divison games are weird.

New England with an ass D crushed Pitt. Likewise, blaming Maddox who's trying to throw into 25 mph winds is silly.

No victory in the NFL is a mulligan, unless it's against Houston.

I really cannot believe how almost every week San Diego manages to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It's really depressing.

If the Steelers are going to lose another game this year, I think it's going to be the next Cinci game. I can seriously see them going 13-3, possibly 12-4, if their key players stay healthy.

That should be a good game. #1 vs. #2 in the league far as I'm concerned.

Baltimore will make Big Ben throw the ball. Something he's only had to do twice this season, and lost both times. That'll be interesting. They play Balt twice over the next 4 weeks, so do not discount either game.

Pitt plays Indy on the 28th MNF. That'll be a hellacious game, but it'll be interesting to see how it goes.

Following the MNF game, they play Cincy again, in what will be a revamped game. Cinci has an easier sched and I think it'll be tight.

There are no gimmes, but it wouldnt surprise me if both Pitt and Cinci make the playoffs. They both have a lot of losing teams on their scheds, and Cleveland and Balt are lacking,

Lewis and Reed may not play next week against the Steelers.

I was right. Ewbank was only one game over .500.

NE crushed Pittsburgh? I must have been watching a different game where NE needed to win it in the final drive

PS, 25 mph winds don't make your fumble the ball on the 20 yard line in overtime (or force passes into triple coverage)
